The morning of Mariah’s hearing, Chris arrives at CL’s. She and Sharon are surprised/relieved to hear that she’s willing to accept the deal. what changed your mind? All heads turn as Tessa arrives.
Meanwhile, at the park cafe, Daniel mopes over a photo of him and Tessa on his phone; their song accompanies his flashbacks. Sadly, he hits ‘delete’.
In the Abbott dining room, a remorseful Jack assures Kyle that he never would have ended up in bed with ‘that woman’ (or any woman) if he weren’t drugged. Diane packed up and left without saying a word. This can’t be the end of my marriage, he laments.
At the club, Diane has the misfortune of running into Patty; who boasts that she’s ‘glowing’ and slept like a baby (unlike the ‘pale’ and tired Diane) Must be because she was with a ‘viral’ man.

Jack hates what they all walked in on. It was a gut-punch, Kyle admits, but he’s not taking sides and blames Victor (Mom will too after some time and space) Jack hopes Diane can one day forgive him.
Crowing about Diane walking into her and Jack’s ‘love nest’, Patty vows that he won’t be sleeping alone with her in town. Drugs? Is that Jack’s excuse for not being able to keep his hands off me? Patty scoffs – it was pure chemistry.
Prepping Mariah for this ‘closed’ meeting, Chris instructs her to tell the judge about her visions of Ian and that she made sure Dom was safe and unafraid. Wished ‘good luck’, Mariah hugs Tessa. ‘I’m sorry. I love you’. She’s alone and looking conflicted when Daniel appears.
You’re delusional if you think Jack (in his right mind) would have anything to do with you! Diane believes it ‘grotesque’ that Patty drugged him. Patty’s rubbing Diane’s nose in it when Nikki appears to ask ‘what the hell are YOU doing here’!? How is this possible? she’s left to ask Diane.
Mom forgave you for risking your sobriety to save Nikki, Kyle thinks she will again – give her time. Jack blames Victor for this whole fiasco.
At home, Victor’s on the phone – he’s so happy that she’s back in town and can’t wait to hear all about it – we’re not through yet.
Determining that they’ve both checked into the club, Nikki explains her reasoning – but why isn’t Diane with the husband she was so worried about???
On the patio, Tessa thanks her supportive ‘friend’ (a word that now makes Daniel uncomfortable) She credits him with her talking Mariah into accepting the deal. Does this mean you’re giving her another chance? Daniel wonders.
What Victor did to Jack is wrong but Nikki doesn’t understand how that’s connected to Diane leaving him. Told to call her good friend so they can bond over their marital problems, Nikki leaves to do just that. When Kyle arrives to ask what that was about, Diane tears up – how can your father do this to me?
