Malcolm apologizes. No need, and Lily won’t tell Devon and Nate his diagnosis – does anyone else know?

On the patio, Holden’s confused. His Dad died of a heart attack when he was very young – did I inherit his heart condition?? he asks his Mom,

Still at the bar, Cane won’t throw Phyllis out of the club he owns because ‘it’s not a good look’. As for who he seeks revenge against ‘maybe it’s you’.

Me? Do I get a statue? Phyllis reminds Cane that she cut him a break. People don’t hate me, they respect me. He chuckles and disagrees that she’s a ‘big deal’.

Malcolm doesn’t want to freak people out with his diagnosis and worries about Lily. She hopes the blood test determines she’s a match so she can donate stem cells. I am your biological daughter, she reminds. Hearing that Malcolm plans to get treatment in New York, Lily’s surprised – why wouldn’t you stay here?

Stephanie has news to share with Holden – she was already pregnant when she met his Dad. Jerry wasn’t your biological father (and knew it) Is ‘he’ still alive? Holden asks.

Malcolm only needs one transfusion from Lily (if she’s a match) Olivia introduced him to his doctor a long time ago. They lost touch for a while but she’s in town now. Lily’s eager to get tested immediately (already convinced she’s a match) Giving her a hug, Malcolm collects himself outside.

Cane doesn’t find Phyllis intriguing or charming – you have everything you want – except my attention. Phyllis offers to hire him to create another AI program for Summers Conglomerate. I’m being lovely and kind. How can you say no to me?

Stephanie’s been in touch with Holden’s bio-father but hasn’t told him he has a son. He’s a good man who needs your help. Spotting Malcolm, she goes inside (leaving Holden to absorb what he’s just learned)

Stephanie tells Malcolm that she was just catching up with someone. The past gets complicated. Malcolm gets that – Lily’s ready to get tested. There’s someone Stephanie wants him to meet and has something to discuss.

Your ego won’t let you say yes? Phyllis prattles on as Cane watches Lily talking on her phone. She looks cheerful, Phyllis is sarcastic – is SHE your target? Cane tells her to stop.
