From behind the counter, Sharon introduces herself to Stephanie and learns that Holden is her son.
Holden’s my brother? At the club, Lily’s stunned that Stephanie didn’t tell Malcolm he had a son. Try not to judge her, Malcolm’s accepted it. Do you like Holden? Is he a good man? he asks.
Dropping by Adam’s suite, Risa gives him his cut of the winnings. Handing it back, he wants to let it ride as a show of good faith and trust. What about your partner? Risa can arrange a meeting – how’s today? Unseen, Nick spies.
Lily doesn’t know Holden well; he was a good friend to a friend of mine. Noting that his illness is what forced this secret out, Malcolm tells her that Stephanie’s a good person. When Lily mentions having the twins tested, Malcolm realizes that he may not know he has a son if Stephanie knew there were more options. Everything happens for a reason, Lily promises he’ll beat this.
When Holden arrives at CL’s, he and Stephanie go to the patio. Chelsea then appears to tell Sharon that she has a bad feeling something’s not right in Vegas.
Avoiding questions about her partner, Risa wraps her arms around Adam to say the rush of a high stakes game is better than sex. After the meeting, she hopes to celebrate tonight ~kiss~ Once she exits, Nick comes out to ask Adam how far he’s willing to go with this woman.
On the patio, Stephanie’s eager to hear if Holden’s a match. Of course, she cares about Malcolm and understands why her son’s upset. She’s proud of Holden. Malcolm? He went to talk to Lily. Won’t she be surprised, he deadpans.
Back at the club, Lily expresses how much she cares about Malcolm (who then gets a text with details of his chemo/radiation) Stephanie’s been incredible, he adds. On cue, she calls to say that Holden took the test and wants to see both him and Lily.
Chelsea tells Sharon about the vivid dream she had of a dead-eyed ‘Spyder’ playing poker. When she approached him, he said he didn’t know her and went back to his game. That’s pretty well what happened when Sharon found Adam in Vegas. He pretended we’d never met. If something’s going on, Nick’s there to help, she reassures.
Adam’s just playing a role to string Risa along. He’d never let it get as far as going to bed with her. Maybe she’s the one playing YOU, Nick warns. Adam knows the kiss looked bad but he has to play along. Nick also worries about how easily he’s fallen into his old Spyder persona. Since he’s meeting Risa’s partner today, Adam believes they can both go home to our lives soon.
Finding Matt in her suite, Risa updates that Spyder’s ready to meet him. Good, let the games begin, Matt says.
You sure about seeing Lily? Stephanie asks. Holden sees no point in waiting. Referring to Malcolm as her friend, Stephanie declares him one of the finest men she’s ever known. On cue, Lily and Malcolm arrive.
