Asked the secret to a happy marriage, Nick and Sharon answer; love, commitment, forgiving mistakes. And owning up to them, Summer adds. Kyle feels too much honesty is asking for trouble. Sharon and Nick are bound to one another by their history – we’re part of each other. Summer admits she wasn’t thrilled about the wedding at first but seeing how well her Dad gets along with her Mom recently is inspiring. Now alone, Kyle calls Summer out. You’re going to blow up Nick and Sharon so your Mom will leave Billy – so you can get him in the sack.

Moseying back to the rooftop bar, Nick’s again given unwanted Fatherly advice. He won’t let work ruin his life (as Victor has) Victor’s disappointed that Nick’s turned his back on the legacy he built. Nick’s using different methods to build a company his family will be proud of. You started Dark Horse by posing as JT, hacking/leaking and stealing staff and clients. Victor’s grateful to be rid of the dead wood and is now going to meet someone for a key position at NE. You two have fun discussing calories, he mumbles and meanders off.

Phyllis is at HWG looking for Devon. Lily sadly but matter-of-factly updates that he’s working from home now because her Dad won’t let him fire her. Devon hates me and thinks I wanted Hilary dead. Is that what you think too?

Phyllis admits that she did want Lily locked up for what happened to Hilary and her baby. But sitting here, I see you are an easy target and that it’s more complicated than that. Lily can’t blame anyone but herself. Instead of paying attention to the road, I was attacking Hilary; listing the reasons Hilary wasn’t worthy of Devon. I thought I was being a good sister. I loathed Hilary. I don’t blame you for wanting me punished. I should be and I will be.

Still on the rooftop, Kyle thinks Summer would see herself in competition for any guy her Mom’s with. No, Billy’s a sexy, cool guy being wasted on my Mom, Summer argues. Kyle thinks Summer should figure out what she really wants. He stands to benefit either way. If Summer manages to get Billy into bed he’d lose their bet but opportunities might open up at Jabot.

As Sharon raves over hors-d’oeuvres, Nick’s distracted by his talk with his Dad earlier. Sharon has an idea; a plate of food in one hand, Nick in the other, she leads him behind the curtained-off massage area. Great idea, Nick approves.

Phyllis returns to HWG with a bottle of water for Lily. Now what happens? Hearing that Lily could go to prison for 20 years (so will lose her family too) Phyllis knows all too well that revenge only causes more heartache. You’re punishing yourself more than any legal system can. Near tears, Lily will live with regret for the rest of her life. With a few more kind words and a hug, Phyllis leaves Lily to sniffle over framed family photos. Seconds later, Mike arrives – he won’t sugar coat things. No, he doesn’t think it fair that Lily might spend years in prison and will make his best case for leniency. Cane came up with a solution; we all disappear to Australia – it’s crazy…..right??

Behind the white curtain, Nick and Sharon are feeding each other hors-d’oeuvres. Cheese puffs lead to kissing. Nick ignores his first call, but When his phone rings again, Sharon encourages him to answer. Putting Curt on hold, Nick thanks Sharon for understanding. I know, I’m amazing. As Nick walks off talking business, Sharon steps outside the curtain to look troubled.

Phyllis and Summer are both home early. Billy? He’ll be working late, Phyllis informs. Relaying the gist of what Mike tole her (that Lauren wants to sever ties with Jabot) Phyllis suggests that she and Summer need to calm things down. We have to support Lauren and be less gung-ho about Billy’s plans – maybe get him to slow down his launch so we can get Fenmore’s back into the fold. Otherwise, Billy will have a nasty legal battle on his hands. Summer’s pissed – I think you said one thing to Billy’s face and now you’re ready to stab him in the back.

Did you EVER believe in Billy? Summer accuses her Mom of only pretending to be a loving, supporting partner. Phyllis won’t be lectured on ‘Billy’s best interests’ by someone who got him back into gambling (then lied about it) Billy and I were fine before you came back to town. And FYI; you’re humiliating yourself by walking around here half-naked all the time. Summer finds it hilarious – this is exactly how YOU used to act.

Back at HWG, Mike casually puts a damper on any plan to disappear to Australia. Devon has many resources; the Australian authorities would extradite you so fast; Cane would be charged; Charlie and Mattie would be on their own – who would take care of Sam? Disappearing would make things worse. That’s exactly what Lily told Cane. She’s ready to face the consequences of her actions – but really scared.
