Tessa knows that Noah would never act on his feelings – he said he’s happy for us and doesn’t want anything to come between the three of us. Mariah knows her brother doesn’t have a malicious bone in his body. She’s not angry. In fact, she feels sorry for Noah. Holding hands, they agree that they’re ‘inevitable’. On cue, Noah stops in the doorway to watch.

The papers signed, Amanda announces that Devon now has shared custody of Dominic. We just need to file these papers with the court, Chris adds that she’s impressed with the way they all came together. After Chris leaves, Devon thanks Abby and Chance; he knows it hasn’t been easy. Handing Dominic to Devon, Abby holds back tears.

Things are slightly awkward when Noah comes over. Wishing them good luck with the adoption lawyer, he gets a text and excuses himself. That was fine. Nothing has to change, Mariah and Tessa reassure themselves.

Team Dom discuss his music class. Louise will be happy to come help when he visits, Abby adds. He’ll soon adjust to the new schedule, Handing Dom back, Devon again thanks them.

Jack tells Billy that Phyllis is moving to Milan; which will leave a hole in his life. We could never sustain things, he sighs. Phyllis is one beautiful conundrum.

Lily’s at the penthouse to congratulate Devon; don’t worry about the future, cherish the present. That sounds like something Neil would say. Devon used one of his pens to sign the custody agreement. He’s grateful that Neil and Dru gave him a new life and knows he has some big shoes to fill.

Maybe a change of scenery is what you need, Nick suggests. Phyllis is irritated that everyone seems to want her to leave town. Jack asks her to deliver something for Harrison. Have a good trip, Nick hopes Phyllis finds what she’s looking for. You don’t sound optimistic, Jack observes. Phyllis is lost in a fantasy (of running into Jack’s arms – tell me you want me to stay)

Nick’s now at CL’s. Happy that Noah’s jumped into his role at New Hope, he brings up what he said last night – that you made a mistake by being too human – does that have to do with your feelings for Tessa? Deflecting, Noah goes to get coffee. When he stops by to ask Tessa and Mariah if they want anything, Tessa goes to the counter with him. Noah got a vibe – you told her, didn’t you? What possessed you to do that?

Lily shows Devon a nursery design on her tablet. He loves it and wants to add a sound system. The ‘best lawyer in town’ comes back from filing the paperwork with the court. Amanda’s excited to start this adventure with Devon and little Dominic ~kiss~ Billy arrives with champagne. One bottle for now, one to save to celebrate with Dom when he’s all grown up.

Back at the estate, Dom’s asleep in the living room. Chance is proud of the way Abby handled herself. He wants to take her out on a date; something special on the evenings Devon takes Dom. Abby thinks that sounds perfect.

Tessa had to tell Mariah but didn’t want to hurt or embarrass Noah. You misunderstood, he claims. Did I? We agreed to forget about it and move on, he adds. That woman over there (Mariah) means everything to me. We’re getting married, starting a family, Tessa adds. No, Mariah doesn’t want your head on a silver platter. We all want the same thing. One big happy family, Noah deadpans.

Jack hopes Phyllis has a nice trip. Like Nick, he too hopes she finds what she’s looking for. Yes, you can do something … never mind. Take care, Jack leaves an irritated Phyllis to call a cab to take her to the airport.

Tessa’s life with Mariah’s about to get more wonderful than she even deserves. You’re going to be a great Uncle. The right woman’s out there for you. What was that? Nick asks after the ladies leave. Looking at his phone, Noah lies – he’s going to meet a friend of his. Nick’s left to look suspicious.

After Chance goes to the kitchen, Abby calls her Mom. Everything went according to plan. I’m not crying. I just wanted to hear your voice. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But is was the right thing to do.

Lily and Billy’s gift to Devon is a book for mementos; a lifetime of treasured memories. The first page has been inscribed – for the newest member of our family (with Dom’s long name) It’s beyond special – Devon can’t wait to fill these pages with his son.
