Abby and Devon upstairs, Amanda assures Chance that Devon just wants what’s best for Dom. Let’s eat, Chance says when Abby and Devon come down to report all well.

Nate’s on his way out when Jack arrives at Society. Victor’s surprised that Jack wants to buy him a drink – I’ll be damned. They order.

Traci suggests maybe Keemo didn’t want to be part of the Abbott family. You are intimidating, Phyllis concedes. She’ll hunt down whoever’s sending Jack these messages and make them sorry. Laun was the most significant love of Jack’s life, but Traci later realized that he shared a love even more powerful.

Still at Society’s bar, Victor guesses that Jack’s troubled by something personal. Regrets? Maybe you feel bad about leaving me to die on my office floor. No, this is about being a Father – can past mistakes be fixed?

Nate drops by the estate to be thanked by Dom’s three parents. Devon’s fine, just a bit sore. After Nate goes upstairs, Abby remembers to ask Devon how he before going to the kitchen with Amanda to get the fortune cookies. Chance thanks Devon for saving Dom when he couldn’t.

Devon reassures Chance. He gets it but can’t help but notice the natural instinct that makes Devon jump up when Dom cries. You have a long time to bond with him, just as Devon did with Neil.

Jack’s never made peace with Kemmo – he lost his Mother then shut out his Father; what’s going on in his mind. Phyllis isn’t as ‘lovely’ as Traci – her only concern is for Jack. Both wonder what these texts are about (though only Phyllis wants to investigate)

Victor thinks Jack an excellent Father – you raised Kyle well, be proud. He’s not the problem; the past snuck up on him today. Victor knows that we might be done with our past but it’s not done with us.

After Nate goes to get some food from the kitchen, Chance reads his fortune cookie aloud. It’s positive message causes Abby’s smile to falter.

Hey Red, Jack’s back. Phyllis relays Traci’s comforting words. He appreciates her trying to solve this puzzle. He wishes he’d told her a long time ago. Unable to ignore these texts, he vows to find out what’s going on.

After everyone goes up to bed, Abby comes back down to get her phone. Then Devon – then Chance (who for some reason keeps sitting on the floor) – then Amanda. Seems no one’s as tired as they thought.
