Mariah and Tessa come home with their shopping bags. Turns out they’ve both bought clothes for each other. Could it be time for a fashion show?
Nick’s frustrated – he can’t just sit around knowing how hard this is on Vikki. The situation’s out of control. Vikki warns that if confronted, Ashland might just dig in deeper. We have to let Adam’s plan play out. Vikki’s strong. Nick knows that. Ashland’s back to say that Vikki doesn’t need Nick’s interference.
When Sally returns to the office with tapas from Society. Adam can’t eat. Ashland wouldn’t commit to the deal. Seems he wants to hang on to Vikki more than the company. Logistics. Ashland needs to find out one last thing; which probably has to do with Vikki.
Nick snarls at Ashland – is there an ounce of decency inside you? You won’t have to put up with me much longer, Ashland claims. Nick better not (and leaves) What did you tell Adam? Vikki asks.
Lily brings her take-out home and relays her run-in with Sally – she wants to be my new best friend. Over wine, Billy figured out how to turn his podcast into two. People know who I’m talking about. Blah blah blah – he needs to use a pseudonym.
Oh great – a musical montage. Tessa and Mariah prance around in the clothes each bought for the other. Mostly sunglasses and feather boas left over from Nikki’s time at the Bayou. The girls flop exhausted onto the couch. This wedding will be so perfect.
Ashland needs an answer from Vikki – are you willing to walk away from all this and start fresh? He’ll cede control on Newman Locke. They want our marriage annulled. If you love me as much as I love you, he’ll agree to all of it. His love can’t be signed away or bought. Do you love me? Yes, of course, Vikki would leave it all behind for Ashland ~hug~
Billy continues to explore his feelings; protect the people he cares about. But, as COO of Chancellor, he can’t speak freely. Lily loved how personal his podcast about Delia was. Billy will do both – he’ll speak truth to power under a pseudonym, using a harmonizer to change his voice. Lily agrees – why not?
Tessa and Mariah sort through the clothes they likely won’t be keeping. Sharon’s so excited about planning the wedding. It’ll be one helluva party, the repeat ~kiss~
Naked beneath a blanket, Mariah still wants to move forward with adoption. Tessa does too – 100%. But it’ll have to wait til after the wedding, they agree. This’ll be the best year of our lives.
Billy must have found a harmonizer somewhere. Finally finding a voice that works for him, he will talk about power – everybody wants it……
Billy’s voice continues as Ashland calls Adam – have the paperwork drawn up. Adam’s so pleased he gives Sally a kiss. Vikki hugs Ashland again. She’s not smiling.
