At Society, Victor updates Adam that Vikki doesn’t want to buy McCall. YOU own Newman, Adam orders Victor to override her.
Adam grumbles that Victor always takes Vikki’s side over his. Nothing will change in the family hierarchy. I’ll figure out my future on my own, he growls at Victor as he storms out.
Phyllis dying has inspired Devon not to waste time. He tells Lily that he’s asked Abby to move in with him.
Chancellor Estate is your birthright. Dominic’s a Chancellor; one day it will all be his. Abby doesn’t feel comfortable living there. Nina doesn’t want her there. Worry about Jill more, Chance doesn’t oppose Abby moving. She’ll leave Dom’s room the way it is. Both want what’s best for Dom. Politely thinking Chance, Abby leaves.
Vikki asks Nate how he’s doing. He can let go of Phyllis’ death easier than Elena. He’s no longer in the medical field and happy to be working where he is.
Taking a long hard look at Sharon talking to Chance, Adam’s about to leave when Sally arrives at CL’s. She’d like a word with him.
Vikki makes an off-the-record confession to Nate. The reason she dropped McCall is because she sees no reason to hand Adam an empire.
Adam’s surprised and encouraged to hear that Sally’s not jealous that Nick’s mourning Phyllis’ loss – he loved her once and they share a child. That bond can’t be broken.
Adam tells Sally that his plans to head a company came screeching to a halt – Victor pulled the rug out from under me. Sally’s sorry – but at least you don’t have to answer to him. You don’t need Victor to succeed. All you need is you.
On the patio, Sharon coxes Chance into confiding what Abby talked to him about. Devon asked her to move in with him.
Lily worries that Abby moving in will cause Amanda more pain. Devon loves Abby; she’s been his best friend for years – she’s the Mother of my child. Having them under my room makes all the sense in the world. Lily still looks unconvinced.
Sharon’s glad to hear that it wasn’t hard for Chance to give Abby the OK to move in with Devon. Anger won’t do you any good. She accepts his invitation to go out to dinner.
Abby’s spoken to Chance and she loves Devon. She’d be happy to move in.
Nate’s happy that Vikki’s backed off on buying McCall (so Devon can buy it) It’s win-win, Vikki smiles at her ‘asset’.
Eating at Society, Victor tells Nikki that Devon doesn’t want McCall – the company’s still on the market as far as he’s concerned.
Adam will be thrilled whether the baby’s a boy or girl. He’s concerned to hear that Sally’s experiencing some nausea. You were right – the bond is unbreakable.
