Hearing Jack leave a voicemail for Nick, Ashley cattily remarks ‘how sweet’ it is that he’s taking time off from fawning over Diane to show someone else compassion. Too bad Phyllis dying overshadowed your engagement announcement. Ash rolls her eyes with disgust as Jack staunchly defends the woman he loves.

Is this where the town pariahs gather? Tucker ‘harasses’ Diane at the GCAC. Most people have conflicted feelings about Phyllis’ death – but not you.

At CL’s, Sharon feels a strange void. Billy agrees – everything seems a bit less colorful without Phyllis.

On the patio, Summer’s on the phone with the florist. Yes, the choices are unconventional but so was my Mother. Quiet and sedate was not her style. She snaps at Kyle when he again offers to help. This is something Summer MUST do herself.

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year since Sharon lost Rey. She tells Billy that she now finds joy in her new granddaughter.

Back on the patio, Summer’s in full grief-zilla mode. Kyle begs – please let me help you. The way your Mom’s life ended isn’t your burden to carry. She wasn’t a burden! Summer’s planning a service that will remind everyone what’s been taken from them all.

Ashley continues to lash out at Jack about Diane. Is it just a coincidence that Phyllis died the night you announced your engagement!? Worried that her brother will meet the same fate, Ashley stomps off.

Summer repeats Diane’s words that she’d be doing the world a favour by strangling Phyllis. She’s frustrated when Kyle defends his ‘malicious’ Mom.

Tucker needles Diane about Jack mourning his once great love.

Jack shouts back at Ashley – is your heart that empty? Your life that dark? This is what love looks like, Ashley insists that she’ll keep fighting for Jack because he’s too blind to fight for himself.

Believing that there’s nothing fishy about her Mom’s death, Kyle pisses Summer off by suggesting she talk about her grief – to Sharon. Triggered, Summer marches out and ignores Sharon (who then goes to the patio to counsel Kyle on supporting Summer)

Summer joins Daniel at the GCAC. He grumbles about having to read about their Mom’s service online. I deserve to be involved.

Billy’s at the house to muse that Phyllis was chaotic, electric, brilliant – everyone’s looking for someone to blame, not just Ashley. He tells Jack that he’s heard rumours that Diane was involved in Phyllis’ death.

Ashley shows up at Tucker’s room at the GCAC (TGP is being renovated) She’s cranky about Jack being blind/loyal to Diane. Tucker can’t help but giggle.
