Thanks to Abby and Dom, Devon’s never been more excited about his future (his immediate future appears to be making out with Abby on the sofa)

Daniel thanks everyone for coming – let’s keep the celebration going just a bit longer. Chance watches as Diane whines to Jack about Summer putting her on the spot.

Victor and Nikki praise Summer on the service, then leave. The Baldwins tell Danny that there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when he sang – Phyllis would be moved.

Lily loved Daniel’s speech – your Mom will be with you always (just like her parents are with her) Danny brings Lucy over and suggests they all go out to dinner – Lily too.

Phyllis watches as Daniel and Lily hug. She has a lot to say in her head – I’ll do anything to protect my family. I’ll expose you as the lying psychopath you are. The wedding won’t happen as long as I’m alive. Meanwhile, cops collect evidence at the Abbott mansion.

Nate apologizes for being late. No worries – Vikki’s been working on the deal. She shares her suspicion that Audra has her eyes on Nate’s job. He’s not worried and likes her enthusiasm. You’re stuck with me. Vikki’s happy to hear it.

At Society, Danny tries to cheer Daniel up by telling Lucy the story of Daniel and Lily running away and being fruit on a beach. When Lily takes Daniel’s hand, they notice.

Diane’s annoyed to see Chance there. He’s here to make sure Stark didn’t cause any trouble – Jack thinks it’s a good thing he came. On cue, Chance comes over with a cop behind him. When she objects, Chance has no choice but to place Diane under arrest for the murder of Phyllis Summers. Summer can barely contain her glee – while Phyllis smiles in the corner.

Huddled closely over folders and numbers, Nate’s impressed. It’s a go, he agrees. Vikki will make the call first thing in the morning. Work done, Vikki pours bourbon. You do know what I like, Nate’s comment makes Vikki giddy like a schoolgirl.

When Lucy yawns, Danny offers to take her back to the hotel. After hugging his son, Danny hugs Lily – and says a quiet thank you in her ear. After they leave, Daniel suspects those two are trying to set us up.

Her hands cuffed behind her back, Diane’s protesting as she’s perp walked out. Michael, please help me, she implores.

Leaving the restaurant, Lily declines Daniel’s offer to walk her to her car. He thanks her for her support. We’re still helping each other even after all these years, Lily gives him a sweet kiss on the cheek. If you need anything, let me know. Daniel watches her walk away.

Nate raves about the bourbon. Spice with just the right amount of sweet. When he’s intrigued by something he wants to know everything about it. Refill? When you offer me something I want, how can I resist? You resisted before, Vikki points out. Resistance is futile, Nate says. Seconds later, the desk is swept off and Vikki’s moaning so loudly that Audra hears them.

Please represent me Michael! Arms folded, Lauren hopes he’s not considering it. Mike can’t. Jack will get a lawyer who’ll have these charges laughed out of court. Phyllis smiles as Diane’s lead out. Summer’s left to tell her Dad that Diane killed Mom – I should have believed her. The room now empty, Phyllis emerges to stand beside the portrait.
