Summoned to Society for breakfast with Victor, Audra kisses his ass. Newman is more than a company to him – he’s aware that she’s become acquainted with a member of his family – this is a warning.

Nick sends Sally a text – prepare to be distracted. Can’t wait, she replies. Adam slips an envelope under her door and leaves.

Chelsea and Billy are at the club for breakfast when Daniel comes along with good news – buzz on her game is good. Summer comes along to poach his employee (asking Chelsea to come work at Marchetti)

Just go away, Sally shouts – thinking it’s Adam. He’s getting more persistent, she says to Nick, envelope in her hand.

Nick feels for Adam – having to make an impossible choice, battling with Dad. He tells Sally about their fight. I wasn’t there for you, he’s sorry. She doesn’t blame him.

Audra’s sorry to upset Victor (Sir) Victor’s warning is about Adam. Are you ready for the battle? He’s sure to strike.

Summer and Daniel both want Chelsea to work with them. She wants her to take over her position of creative director. Kyle’s leaving Marchetti? Billy’s surprised. After he and Chelsea leave, Summer tells her brother that she and Kyle have separated.

Calling Jack when he and Chelsea get to CL’s, Billy’s not happy that he wasn’t told that Kyle had left Marchetti – and separated with Summer.

Back at the club, Summer’s confident that she and Kyle will reconcile. Daniel worries his sister will get hurt.

Nick believes Vikki didn’t lay him off for his benefit – Nate might be replacing him permanently.

Audra assures Victor that Newman Media will be safe under her watch. You own McCall Unlimited – why are you playing both sides here. Victor chuckles – just focus on Adam – he can’t take over Newman Media.

Hearing that Sally’s been avoiding Chloe’s calls, Nick thinks work would be a good distraction – call her. On cue, Chloe appears and Billy leaves Chelsea to ask her about Summer’s job offer. Chloe doesn’t feel like a good enough friend to give advice.

Accepting the delivery, Audra’s admiring her flowers and smiling at Kyle’s card – from one overachiever to another – thanks for showing me your moves. She catches Summer giving her a funny look.

Chloe wishes she had noticed that Chelsea was struggling. I pushed you out, Chelsea forgive her. The BFF’s hold hands across the table.

At Society, Victor tells Nick that he had nothing to do with his forced sabbatical. No, he’s not going to ask that Nick work with Vikki and Nate – I want you to help Adam.

Audra tells Summer that the flowers are due to it being her first day running Newman Media. Jewelry too? Summer notices the box. Probably a fountain pen, Audra asks if she’s staying at the club? It’s just temporary – like your new job, Summer walks off. When Adam shows up to chat, Audra says she’s been warned about him. He bets she doesn’t heed warnings.

Chloe’s brought food to Sally’s suite. Losing a child is the hardest thing in the world, she knows. Sally’s bored and in need of distraction. Chloe gives her a progress report on remodeling Chancellor Winters.

Nick’s in no mood to reach out to Adam again – he won’t respect Sally’s wishes. Victor wishes she was more open. He won’t deny that Adam’s his blind spot – he’s my son; he needs support. Victor asks Nick to give him one more chance. What exactly do you want from me?

At the bar, Audra and Adam chat – where do her loyalties lie? He’s heard she betrays her employees – what’st to say she won’t again?

In her suite, Summer’s not happy to hear that Daniel told Mom about her separation (which is her fault)

Victor again asks Nick to work with Adam. He needs you more than Vikki does. I’m begging you to support him – help him straighten out.

Watching her partner sketch, Chloe tells Sally that she’s not betraying her daughter by being happy. Sally’s going to join Chloe at her next meeting with CW. Now alone, she opens the letter from Adam. His voice reads touching words about Ava. He wants to be in Sally’s life – I’ll be downstairs til noon.

It’s past noon -you’ve been stood up, Audra taunts Adam. I hope you’re ready for the biggest battle of your life, he snarls before leaving.
