Mocking Nick’s ‘righteous indignation’, Adam insists that merging the media companies is a good idea. At Sally’s request, he explains his agreement with Audra. That’s one way to spin it, Nick adds details Adam left out – Audra felt so trapped she went to Victor. Maybe it was sketchy and ruthless but the ends justify the means. No, they don’t, Sally leaves Adam to sarcastically thank Nick.

What bullet did Tucker dodge exactly? The cover up and Adam’s blackmail, Nate’s advice is to always check/delete spam. Tucker’s surprised he and Audra are so friendly; she’ll do what she needs to in order to get what she wants. You’ll never see it coming.

Now wearing robes and cuddling on the sofa, Audra’s about more than the power and money – it’s the rush. Kyle thinks pragmatism goes well with ambition. He’s just been invited to spend the night when Tucker knocks on the door.

Vikki’s willing to risk trusting Audra but Adam needs to go. Nikki understands but sides with Victor (because of the funding) Adam needs to be cut off at the knees – Vikki hopes ‘Daddy’ figures it out before it’s too late.

We see the world through different lenses. No, there’s a right and a wrong way, Nick tells Adam to grow up – and respect that Sally’s with him. She stayed and ordered food, unpacked my boxes – she only thinks she loves you, Adam’s confident.

You’re delusion and selfish – Sally’s made her choice – Nick suggests Adam move on. He respects Sally’s feelings but not Nick’s. Adam thinks it time Nick go join Sally – don’t disappoint her. Oh, I won’t – and you’re crazy if you think I’m letting this slide, Nick leaves Adam to finish his drink.

Look what you’ve got going – Kyle action, Tucker comes in to chuckle. Kyle greets ‘Uncle Tucker’ – who asks him to leave so he can spend some alone time with Audra. The threat’s been handled, she tells him to go check with Adam if you don’t believe me. This is over as far as we’re concerned.

Back at the club, Vikki tells Nate that Audra went to see her Dad – the matter with Adam’s been resolved. Mentioning the interesting talk she had with her Mom, Vikki wonders why Nate didn’t come to her first (his involvement with Audra caught her off-guard) No more secrets, he agrees.

Nate wants to be with Vikki in every aspect. She believes in his potential and their connection. He helped Audra because keeping the McCall scandal quiet was the right thing to do. He’d do anything for her. Anything? Vikki tries to smile.

Trust that I know when it’s time for it to be over. Nikki hates to see Adam hurt Victor like this. I’ve given him more opportunities because he’s damaged, Victor thinks it might be time to hold Adam accountable, he’ll reassess things.

In her suite, Sally wants to explain things to Nick. No, Adam didn’t trick her into coming over. She brought over a housewarming gift to show him that she’s making an effort to move forward. He asked me to stay while he went to see Victor. He wanted to talk to me about something but then you showed up and things got complicated. Nick’s sorry – let’s start over and make up for lost time.

Adam approaches Audra and Kyle at the jazz lounge to wonder whether she’s a genius or a coward. Maybe he’ll release that dirt on her anyway. Pissing off Victor (and me) would be a bad idea, Kyle steps in. Adam’s not impressed – is that the best you’ve got?

Nate hopes Vikki can forgive him. He’s ‘saying all the right things’ but she can’t go upstairs; she has to go home to the kids. See you tomorrow. Good night, Nate leaves Vikki looking none too pleased.

Adam vows to regain control of Newman Media again. Even if you have to burn it all down to get it, Audra guesses correctly. Deciding to get a drink elsewhere, Adam leaves her looking mildly concerned.

Nick and Sally are indeed making up for lost time.
