Spotting ‘gorgeous’ at the bar, Danny makes a beeline over. Chris wastes no time informing him that she did indeed see the video AND the live performance. Phyllis wants to needle you, Danny claims he was set up. The kiss didn’t look that way to Chris.

Vikki changes the subject – do you miss me at Newman? How are things working out with Nick and Adam? Though Victor thinks work might be a good distraction, Vikki must continue this journey with Claire. Coming home, Nikki didn’t expect her daughter to be there.

With Mike out of town, Lauren could use a friend to talk to – a trusted friend who’ll understand and not judge. Guessing that Nikki’s drinking again, Jack suggests they go back to his place to speak in private.

Nikki shares her fear with Victor and Vikki that she drove her sponsor back to drinking. I’m his trigger.

At the house, Jack’s sorry to hear that Nikki’s drinking again. He correctly guesses that Lauren’s asking him to step in.

If Danny’s guilty of anything, it’s of being naive. I should have set Phyllis straight instead of hoping she’d get the hint. He didn’t want to hurt her. Oh yes, she’s so fragile, Chris scoffs. She has no interest in competing with Phyllis for Danny. When Nina replies to her text, Chris arranges to meet her at Society and tells Danny to figure out what he wants.

No, this is NOT fun, Danny claims. Chris is fine if Danny chooses to be with Phyllis. The kiss she witnessed leads her to believe he’s not sure what he wants. Marching out, she doesn’t break stride as blows past Phyllis.

Nikki’s worried about Seth. He hasn’t returned her calls. Victor and Vikki encourage her to give him more time – maybe he’s at a movie or something.

At Society, Nina orders two glasses of wine. Chris reports enjoying the holidays with Danny. So what went wrong? Nina asks. Not what – who, Chris replies.

Chris tells Nina about the video and catching Danny and Phyllis attached at the lips. Nina thinks Phyllis staged it. She probably threw herself at Danny. Interesting theory – but you didn’t see the way he kissed her back.

Jack and Lauren decide that Nikki might confide in him if they spend some time together. It’s worth a shot.

Over the chess board, Victor updates Nikki on Claire visiting her Aunt. Vikki will work it out. Seth texts Nikki to apologize for not responding earlier – are you OK? Victor thinks she should find another sponsor.

Refusing to get hurt again, Chris tells Nina that she’ll end things with Danny.

Leave me alone, Danny tells Phyllis – we’re done. What does that mean? We share a son and granddaughter, Phyllis reminds. We have no relationship after tonight, Danny’s pissed that she may have cost him his future with Chris. When Phyllis reiterates that he’s conflicted, Danny snarls ‘leave me alone’ and marches out.

My Thoughts: Of course Jack wouldn’t want Nikki to know that Lauren blabbed after being sworn to secrecy. But, if Nikki wants to keep her drinking a secret, she probably shouldn’t be staggering into the GCAC or pulling out her flask at Society….Phyllis wants to explore what comes next? Well, what comes next would be Danny (based on his heavy breathing) Phyllis has been around the block – she knows that a man can respond physically to someone they have no interest in otherwise…. IF Danny’s guilty of anything? IF?? Worse than kissing Phyllis – twice, he insulted Chris’ intelligence and won’t even take responsibility. That said, why the hell is Chris leaving it up to Danny whether their relationship continues? The decision should be hers ….. If Mike’s out of town – why would Lauren and Jack go to the crowded Abbott commune? The last thing Nikki would want is Diane overhearing – or the news of her drinking getting back to Summer or Audra (through Kyle) or Noah (who’s living with Jack’s granddaughter, Ally) …. Nina thinks Chris looks ‘ready to commit murder’? That’s an odd choice of words to use against a career prosecutor/DA. It’s not like Chris and Danny were married but she should be glad to have ‘dodged a bullet’ (intended pun? You bettcha!)… Weird that Jordan’s behind bars with no mention of a trial. Mike and the whole Newman family should be preparing to take the stand against Jordan. Doctors should be assessing Claire. Not to mention the press, yet again, are taking no interest in reporting on the ‘case’. Meanwhile, Tucker’s being hounded on his cell phone to comment on a cover up that occurred years ago.
