Devon’s not talking about Lily’s decision to fire Daniel and Heather – he’s talking about Jill dismissing the idea to split the companies just because it’s Maime’s idea. He’s surprised Lily even wants to work with Billy (given their history)

Adam is the biggest hurdle in all this; speaking as a father, Billy sympathizes, but he’s not handling it well. Chance knows how Adam can be and admires Billy’s logic and restraint. Two traits I’m known for, Billy quips.

Tucker whines about Devon blowing him off and saying he’ll always be alone – which reinforced his decision to propose. Audra’s sorry – this just came out of nowhere. Our relationship doesn’t conform to rules – marriage isn’t who we are. Something’s changed for Tucker – all he wants is a life with Audra.

Jack suggests the man at Society just wanted to send a beautiful woman a drink, not knowing Nikki’s in recovery. Then, why didn’t he stick around? And how did he know vodka’s my drink of choice? Nikki’s changed her mind on leaving town with Victor. She can’t leave Vikki and Claire vulnerable to Jordan)

Rejecting the comparison between her break ups with Daniel and Billy, Lily won’t let Devon use that as a reason they can’t count on Billy. He’s invested, Devon agrees – invested in preserving the Abbott name. Leaving for a meeting, Lily will have a talk with Billy.

Audra’s just not ‘there’ and can’t shake the feeling that Tucker’s trying to prove something to Ashley or Devon – or to himself.

Jack’s only concern is Nikki’s safety. She defends her bodyguard, Larry. Security was looking for a woman, not a man. They’ll be more vigilant knowing Jordan has a male accomplice, Nikki’s sure she’ll be fine. You better be, Jack adds. Neither notice that Diane’s appeared to watch them in discomfort.

Forgetting about a meeting they have this afternoon, Billy appreciates Chance offering to cover if he wants to go be with Chelsea. When Lily and Devon stroll into the office, Billy grumbles about Daniel and Heather being fired for personal reasons. As he and Devon bicker about potential blow-back, Lily barks ‘stop – this has to end’.

Asking to speak to Billy alone, Lily clarifies that firing Daniel and Heather was HER decision. She hopes she doesn’t regret telling Devon that he (Billy) has a place at CW. That said, Lily takes exception to Billy blaming everything on Devon. It takes two – look in the mirror.

Exchanging a frosty greeting with Nikki, Diane wonders why she wouldn’t want to go on a romantic anniversary trip with Victor. Refusing to let Jordan chase her out of town, Nikki leaves Jack to ask Diane what’s bothering her. It’s not something you want to hear, she puzzles him.

Tucker hopes Audra will think about his proposal. She’ll try. The champagne, the croissants, the dancing – to us – the world’s most unconventional couple. They exchange I love you’s and clink champagne flutes.

Dancing with Audra, Tucker talks about their special connection. Audra suggests it’s special because they aren’t married. Seconds later, they’re kissing in bed.

Lily wants to respect Jill’s decision to bring Billy back – but be honest, why are you here? What do you want to accomplish at CW? Can we count on you to put the company first? she grills him.

Diane’s problem is all the time Jack’s spending with Nikki. Perhaps I’m being insecure, she admits. When Jack vows to express his love every day, Diane’s not looking for attention. You have no reason to feel insecure, Jack hugs her.

At the ranch, Nikki checks to make sure the coast is clear before puling a bottle of vodka from her purse. Cracking it open, she takes a swig – then another.
