Traci was just thanking Diane for remodelling the family home. When Diane heads back to the office, she’s mildly taken aback when Jack decides to stay with his sister. Now alone, Traci tells Jack that she hurt Diane’s feelings by not confiding in her.
Kyle’s in a good mood because he and his Dad worked together to solve a matter at Jabot. We were so in sync. He’s so grateful his Mom gave up her job for him – she was an excellent CEO and set a high bar. Claire believes Kyle can meet the challenge. Despite Victor’s prediction of doom and gloom. he feels his family is getting stronger every day. We’ll see about that, a dark cloud wearing a leather jacket arrives to comment.
Jack’s not surprised that Diane’s suspicious – she questioned him but no, he didn’t betray Traci’s confidence. She’s so worried about me, Traci thinks it sweet but doesn’t want to put Diane or anyone else in danger. This HAS to stay between you, me and Chance. Jack has to wonder why Sharon and Phyllis were targeted.
Lily had Damian investigated to protect the family, Nate knows his brother’s a wild card – he might bolt again. Audra wants Damian to be the man Nate thinks he is – but promise me you’ll be careful – she doesn’t want him to get hurt. Nate thinks Audra’s right to be suspicious of Victor – he’s not getting involved just to help Lily.
Claire gives her grandpa a hug. We’re going out for a nice romantic dinner, Kyle needles Victor (who pointedly ignores him by talking to Claire about riding her horse tomorrow)
Nate’s elated that Audra stopped by. Their kiss is interrupted when Lily and Devon come knocking. After Audra politely leaves to run some errands, Lily updates Devon and Nate on Victor’s theory that Damian’s telling the truth; Dumar’s lying – because he’s coming after the company.
About your renewed relationship with your father, Victor wishes Kyle good luck with that. We’ve never been closer, Kyle gloats – like his relationship with Claire. Life is full of surprises, Victor adds – it never turns out like you planned it. Have a good time, he leaves the lovebirds looking shaken.
Jack tells Traci that Kyle also detected that something’s going on. He and Traci hope to be proven wrong. If the worse case scenario is true, we have to tell Ashley and Diane too – so they can protect themselves.
Running into Victor at CL’s, Audra knew she should have gone somewhere else. Well, well – Audra Charles, fancy meeting you here, Victor chortles.
Traci agrees – if Alan proves to be a threat, we tell Diane and Ashley. If Alan’s really Martin, he knows our patterns, our habits – and we know what he’s capable of. Jack hopes Alan’s the person we all think he is. If only he’d return your messages. He DID, Traci finally gets around to it – he called, it was my Alan, the man I fell in love with, she bursts into tears.
Now at Society, Claire can’t pretend she doesn’t care that her grandfather disapproves. Kyle understands and will never judge Claire for her feelings. She has a favour to ask – don’t intentionally rub our relationship in Victor’s face.
Victor’s convinced that Dumar wants Winters Inc., Lily announces. Nate doesn’t believe he’s genuinely concerned about their company – when push comes to shove, Victor always puts Victor first. Lily adds that Dumar reached out to Billy about Abbott Communications – we must protect what’s ours – and keep our distance from Damian. Nate’s salty – so, based on the word of a man who’s taken advantage of us all, we should ice out my brother? That’s going too far.
Hearing Alan say he loves her and can’t wait to make her his wife, is tearing Traci apart. Jack has to believe it will all work out for the best ~hug~
Kyle wasn’t rubbing it in Victor’s face. OK, maybe a little, he’s sorry for upsetting Claire. She’s holding out hope that her grandfather will eventually come around. Kyle promises not to do it again.
Victor sees no reason why he and Audra can’t be cordial with one another – what’s your job prospects these days? She has some promising leads. We should sit down one day to discuss your options – join me for a drink, he invites.
My brother’s just now finding his footing, Nate worries these constant attacks on Damian will scare him off, for good. He’s been lying to you since day one, Lily doesn’t want Nate to get hurt. Asked his opinion, Devon sees red flags – he thinks Nate should slow down a bit. Nate trusts his brother over Victor. Lily really hopes he’s not making a mistake.
Next Week: Meeting for drinks, Victor asks Audra if she’s ever considered getting even with Kyle. Let’s say I do want to get even, what do I get for that? she wonders …. Jack has a question for Ashley – Is it at all possible that Martin was the one who survived that fall in Paris? …. Traci’s astonished when Alan walks into her suite (at the club)
