Damian’s astonished – you actually expect me to quit my job to prove myself? Yes. What would you be giving up? Thinking he has more ambition than to be Dumas’ lackey and offers to find Damian something lucrative at Winters. Why does the phrase ‘keep your enemies close’ pop into my head? he chuckles.

Chelsea tells Victor that she and Adam were discussing that a media company’s obligation is to inform and entertain, not to go after enemies. Interesting, Victor chortles. And, when she politely, leaves father and son to have a private chat, Victor thinks this will require diplomacy – you know damn well we’re using this media company to go after enemies, starting with Aristotle Dumas.

No, Dumas hasn’t made any moves against Chancellor but he’s been sniffing around. Adam’s to flood the platform with how much stronger the company is under Nikki’s leadership over Billy’s (who Dumas wants to meet with)

We carry our father in our hearts – he’s with us wherever we go, Jack chokes up. Billy will ‘get there’ (and apologize to Diane) He’s ready to launch Abbott Communications (and will announce Sally’s role) Jack wonders if he’s heard any more from Dumas.

You’re like family and Winters is a family company, Lily thinks Damian should make a clean break. You can prove to us that you have no ‘sketchy’ connection to Dumas. Are you ready to make a move?

It’s not the worst idea Damian’s ever heard. He’d consider coming to Winters Inc. (for the right job and compensation) He’d be taking a chance and can’t help but wonder if this is another ploy (like the last job offer) Lily shrugs it off – keep doing what you’re doing and we’ll call it a day.

Dumas’ office keeps pushing back the meet-up date, but Billy doesn’t think they’re stringing him along – HE reached out to ME. At the risk of starting another argument, Jack wants Billy to focus on Abbott Communications. It’s my priority – Billy’s then upset that Jack doesn’t mind Victor getting ‘his due’ but gives Nikki a pass.

Adam doesn’t have an issue showcasing Billy’s incompetence but it could be a deal-breaker for Chelsea. When Victor implies that Billy being taught a lesson is more important than Chelsea working there, Adam assures that he’ll ‘handle’ her. Billy needs to be crushed, for several reasons, trust me on that, Victor grimaces.

Lily’s not getting defensive and has no agenda; she just wants to see how far Damian’s willing to go to prove that he can be trusted. That IS an agenda and a pretty big loyalty test. Since Nate and his mother trust him, why should Damian care if Lily and Devon do? You want me to trust you ‘very badly’, Lily knows he’s attracted to her – you want to see where this could go. When Damian claims that she also wants to see where this could go, Lily says she’ll get back to him with an offer and clip clops out.

Do I even want to know what you and Victor discussed? Chelsea returns to ask. Not wanting to lie to her, Adam (shockingly) tells the truth. Victor’s worried that Aristotle Dumas is after Chancellor so wants him to showcase how well Chancellor’s doing with Nikki as CEO and to trash Billy. Looks like we’re about to have our first professional disagreement, he concludes.

Nikki’s not an innocent bystander! She’s running Chancellor! Billy thinks she’s just as selfish and manipulative as Victor. What about Jill? Billy’s not happy with her either. Jack could be infuriated if he let himself – but it ALWAYS cost him. You have to let go of Chancellor to avoid a battle with Victor. YOU never backed down from a fight with Victor, why should I? Billy manages to sound like a defiant child.
