At Society, Diane and Jack are happy that Jabot’s projected to have its best holiday season ever – a record-breaking 4th quarter. However, it’s unnerving that Victor hasn’t made his move yet to bankrupt the company (with Cane’s AI program)
‘Proceed as we discussed’, Victor ends a call as Adam drops by the ranch for an update on Noah. Informed that he’s awake and having his bandages removed, Adam asks Victor if he’s taken steps to cripple Jabot yet.
Lily wraps up her call with Devon to join Cane at the club. Assuming she wants to discuss the twins, he whines about them not taking his calls. Do you think they miss me as much as I miss them?
Having called to make sure the jet’s gassed up and ready to go, Kyle’s surprised when Claire arrives at CL’s – I was just thinking about you, he says – as Holden follows her in.
Yes, Holden flew back with Claire (he didn’t get stuck in a middle seat because the Newman jet seats are in twos) Kyle would like to talk to her – alone.
Back at Society, Jack knows Victor to be ruthless, arrogant and patient – a chess master always one move ahead of his opponent. Maybe Cane still has the software, Diane suggests.
Lily assures Cane that the twins miss their Dad – but they feel betrayed. The Newman Media ‘hit piece’ made things worse. Cane doesn’t know who stole his AI. Frustrated, Lily hopes he’s doing something about it before irreversible damage is done.
Victor’s holding off because Cane warned Jack that he had the AI. When he does decide to make his move, he’ll need Adam to cause a ‘very creative’ distraction.
While Holden hovers, Claire makes excuses not to talk to Kyle (she’s jet-lagged, needs to unpack and get to work) When she agrees to come by the house to visit Harrison, Kyle steps aside to hear Holden invite Claire out to dinner. She has more excuses but will call him in a few hours. After Claire leaves with Kyle, a smitten Holden flashes back to their bed-activities.
Lily’s very concerned to hear that Cane suspects Victor has his program but doesn’t know if it’s been launched. How could you be so reckless to build something so dangerous? What were you thinking? Lily’s astounded.
A ‘blanket directive’ to distract the Abbotts leaves a lot to Adam’s imagination. He doesn’t like the idea of going after Jack but our business comes before his. Given the keys to the kingdom (by Phyllis) Victor will use it in a ‘massive’ way.
Assuming Kyle’s on his way to LA, Jack and Diane know he’ll have to pull out all the stops to win Claire back.
Harrison’s overjoyed when his Dad brings Claire home. Did you go trick or treating in LA? Kyle hangs back as Harrison boasts about getting a bruise while saving a goal – wanna see it? Kyle and Claire smile at one another over Harrison’s head as he rolls up his pant leg to show off his barely-there injury.
You can’t track or stop it, Lily warns Cane that the Abbotts will blame him. He’s trying to make it right and would destroy the program if he could. We’re all sitting ducks, Lily frets.
I always know what I’m doing, Victor won’t share his plans with Adam but assures that Cane will regret coming back to GC.
Lily suspects Phyllis and never believed her allegiance to Cane; she’s only loyal to herself. Cane hasn’t given up on trying to protect everyone but won’t say how. If it all pans out, you’ll be the first to know. Lily hopes he’s not going up against Victor – you’ll fail. Feeling he’s already failed, Cane regrets everything that cost him what he truly loves. You’re right – I will be blamed – unless I stop it (by offering Victor a deal)
That will be one nasty bruise, Claire thinks Harrison’s very brave. He’s sorry it won’t be a scar. Kyle once stopped a puck with his face – I don’t have a scar either. It feels bad when you’re hurt but you always heal, right Dad? After a moment of awkwardness, Claire raves over their Halloween costumes. We can wear all three costumes next year, Harrison asks – Who’d you go with? He bets she had fun.
Holden’s glad to run into Audra at the club’s bar. He told Claire about their past. How much did you tell her???? Audra’s alarmed.
