When a mopey Audra drops by the house, Sally gives her a belated Christmas gift.
Running into Holden at the park overlook, Claire’s pleased to have been the one to shut Audra up, by throwing a glass of water in her face (I must have missed an episode over Christmas)
At Society with Jack, Billy’s questioning Nikki’s commitment to helping them. On cue, Victor comes along to taunt the brothers.
Audra pouts – she doesn’t have a gift for Sally. OMG – I can’t believe you did this (it’s a high-end purse – Sally still has connections in the fashion world) An emotional Audra hugs her BFF.
Back in the park, Holden hates seeing Claire be dragged to Audra’s level – he wishes she’d let it go (and let him handle Audra) Like you handled her in LA? Claire talked to Sienna – there’s more to the story and she vows to get to the bottom of it.
Victor mocks the Abbotts – Jabot’s circling the drain; Abbott Communications will soon follow. Furious, Jack will burn his father’s company down to the ground rather than let Victor get his hands on it!
Sally takes photos of Audra with her new bag. What’s going on with you? Nothing much – still unemployed, she relays running into Noah at the club – he looks really good and was sweet. Audra doesn’t care that she’s the town pariah. Admitting that she had another run in with Claire, she vows to put that bitch in her place once and for all.
If there WAS more to tell, what would you do with that information? Holden wishes Claire would accept what he told her; there’s nothing to discover. They then discuss Kyle being mad seeing them together. He’s finally ready to move on, Claire informs. Holden wonders if she is.
Someone’s about to knock you off your pedestal, Billy warns Victor. Jack can’t wait to wipe the smug smirk off his face – we have the upper hand – you just don’t see it yet. How many millions have you lost shutting down your company? Victor fires back. The only thing Jack’s lost is his appetite. After the Abbotts leave, a concerned Victor makes a call – I need to see you right away.
Now home, Jack wastes no time pouring himself a drink. He’s sure Victor was putting on an act. Disagreeing, Billy feels like a lamb led to slaughter – we need Phyllis, Nikki or Mike’s help. Failing is not an option, Jack grimaces.
What’s up? Mike joins Victor at Society. Jabot’s on the ropes. Yes, because they shut it down to prevent an attack by you, Mike adds that Jabot is their father’s legacy; Jack and his family will fight for it. Victor will go to great lengths to see that they don’t succeed. Asking Mike to find out what they’re up to, Victor questions Mike’s loyalty.
Claire was surprised by Kyle’s decision to give up; to end things the way he did. Are you upset that it was so final? Holden asks. Claire was upset, but feels liberated – she can do what she wants with who she wants. Yes, she’ll spend New Years Eve with Holden – IF he’ll tell her what happened between him and Audra in LA. You won’t like what you’ll hear, Holden warns.
