Summer’s happiness is the most important thing to Phyllis. Still salty that Daniel didn’t want to start an empire with her, she thinks Marchetti can be their empire (and there will be a place for Daniel) Still harping on the voicemail he overheard, Daniel points out that there’s a reason people don’t trust her.

Tessa’s not surprised that someone came back from the dead (it happens a lot around here) Sienna tells her the whole story of how her, from her husband luring Noah to LA to taking them hostage; he almost killed us. Tessa’ glad everyone’s OK. When Noah suddenly rushes in to fuss over Sienna, Tessa looks uncomfortable – long time, no see.

Daniel hopes this doesn’t come back to bite Summer of his Mom – don’t blow this up by being… you. No more scheming. You never win – someone gets hurt every single time. Phyllis feels she deserves the respect she seeks. Daniel points out that he’s had to accept a world without Heather. Stop trying to manipulate things. It doesn’t work that way, Phyllis concludes.

Noah’s not picking up, Sharon grumbles about her son rushing to Sienna’s rescue. Nick does the same, Nikki points out. Sharon worries – Noah won’t back down s Matt – he’s own safety to protect Sienna.

Hearing that Sienna and Tessa met at a bar in LA years ago, Noah updates that his Dad’s in surgery and Matt escaped – we have to stay alert until he’s caught.

After dinner, Phyllis tells Daniel that she won’t move on – she’ll fight back. Everyone in town has smeared her reputation and laughed at her. On the verge of tears, she refuses to ‘try something new’. She’s doing this for her family. Help me win.

Still at the hospital, Nikki ends a call with Victor to report that Noah made it home. We WILL find Matt Clark. He may find us first, Sharon worries.

Noah won’t let Sienna blame herself for his Dad’s accident. Tessa isn’t worried that Matt might target Mariah – she’s out of town.

Injured and propped up in an alleyway, Matt mutters to himself ‘you’re a dead man Nick Newman’. He looks up as a shadowy figure appears.

My Thoughts: Line of the day goes to Nikki – reminding her old fart of a husband that his track record for protecting the family is far from flawless. OK, so I guess no one’s going to address it on the show, so I’ll say it. Noah’s quite a bit younger than Sienna. The actors’ ages are 33 and 54, respectively, which makes Sienna the same age as Sharon (Case). Also kinda weird that (the actors who play) Sienna and Noah portrayed (estranged) mother and son on Days. Sure, it’s a double standard – but, if my son brings home a girlfriend 2 months younger than I am, my eyes are going to bug out of my head too … Any guesses as to who the shadowy figure is who approaches Matt at the end of today’s show? I’m betting it’s the good pastor himself, Ian Ward (though it might be wishful thinking because I’m enjoying Matt Ward so much that I want him to stick around) I mean, why else would Tessa be pulled into this storyline if not to somehow pull Mariah in too? … How on earth could Daniel stay focused on his big salad with his Mom leaning over so that her (real and spectacular) breasts are practically on her plate?
