Upstairs, Devon and Nate are trying to figure out why Malcolm’s in town. Devon believes that Lily and Cane still love each other. Hopefully he leaves town. Sorry to disappoint, Cane saunters over on cue.
Cane cracks a joke that doesn’t amuse Devon. You want me to run off with my tail between my legs? Yeah, there’s nothing keeping you in town, Devon points out. Cane’s staying indefinitely – he has plans he won’t share. Those plans better not involve Lily, Devon warns.
Malcolm will have chemo and radiation. Yes, he got a second and third opinion. If the bone marrow transplant is successful there’s still no guarantee. Yes, he’s scared but will fight this thing. Lily wants to do for Malcolm what she couldn’t do for Neil. I’ll be OK, Malcolm will give thanks to the man upstairs and the one on the wall.
Holden introduces him Mom to Audra, his old friend from LA. We kid around. Yeah, sure, Audra quickly makes it clear they aren’t involved. Pleasure to meet you, her extended hand is ignored.
Cane assures Devon that he doesn’t want anything to do with Lily – there’s no coming back from what she and Victor did. Is that true? Phyllis appears to grin ‘took you long enough’.
Though getting a frosty greeting from the Winters, Phyllis is thrilled to see Malcolm ~hug~ He hears she’s running GC now. Lily tells Nate and Devon that she’s fine and will fill them in later. Malcolm then warns Cane to leave his family alone – they don’t want you in their lives. The feeling’s mutual, Cane assures then walks off.
It’s OK Mom, Holden tells Audra that his Mom’s a doctor in Manhattan. No, she’s not retired. Stephanie tells ‘Audrey’ that she needs to speak to her son alone. I don’t like that girl – watch your back.
Malcolm’s happy to hear that Devon’s ‘little man’ is safe. How long will he be in town? That depends…, He then gets a text that makes him frown.
Malcolm has to go meet an old friend – he’ll catch up with everyone later. Devon and Nate grill Lily. Everything’s fine, she wants to leave it at that.
Doesn’t look like you’re over Lily, Phyllis joins Cane at the bar; it’s hard to watch you make a fool of yourself. She’s having a celebratory Mimosa because she’s killing it at Summer Conglomerate. Cane has nothing to say to her. Phyllis guesses he wants revenge on Lily, Victor (and her)
Stephanie has to tell Holden something very important – that will change his world. It’s time you learned the truth about your father.
