Lauren comes off the elevator to yelp ‘you can’t do this’ Those emails are fake – Victor’s using you! Chris can’t ignore the facts. I’ll call Mike, Lauren offers. As the elevator doors close, Phyllis tells her not to bother – I know where Mike stands, and it’s not with me.

Nick’s next stop is the ranch. Explain to Mom why you did what you did, he badgers. Victor only wants to discuss Matt Clark.

Sharon’s concerned that Sienna may have been mistaken – Matt may have had a weak pulse. We need to send Victor’s team out to check. Sienna’s not sure she can give an accurate location.

Giving Matt a refill, the chatty waitress asks if he’s OK. How far away am I from this place? he holds up the key/card.

At CL’s, Lauren doesn’t appreciate Mike’s cavalier ‘I told you so’ attitude or his fear of crossing Victor. Let’s get Phyllis out of this mess!

Sienna assumes Matt’s car is parked along the road. It felt like she ran pretty far into the desert. She remembers seeing a water park. What if I just convinced myself Matt’s dead – what if he’s still alive???

The waitress tells Matt that Wisconsin is about 2,000 miles away. Where am I? he wonders.

Nick doesn’t know if Matt’s still alive. Mike arrives to announce that he’ll be representing Phyllis. Victor can’t believe he’s willing to defend his enemy. If you cross this line there’s no coming back. Get the hell out!

Phyllis thanks Lauren for posting her bail (Daniel didn’t even pick up) Lauren thanks her husband for changing his mind and representing her. Though Phyllis is still mad at him, Mike must find a way to prove the emails are fake while avoiding the fact that she stole Victor’s company (which sounds really bad when said out loud)

Your Mom’s right – we need to be absolutely sure Matt’s dead. Maybe his pulse WAS too weak for me to feel. If he’s not dead, he’ll come for me. He’ll come for all of us, Sharon amends.

You nursing a hangover? Hiding from the wife? the waitress spots his wedding ring. You’re still in Vegas, baby. Vegas? Matt’s surprised.

Nick’s furious at Phyllis but doesn’t like the idea of his family putting his daughter’s mother away using fabricated evidence. Phyllis deserves what she’s getting, Victor grumbles. When Nikki walks in, he picks up his phone to scowl at it.

At the bottom of the stairs, Nick tries to get his Mom to talk to his Dad. Just there to ride her horse, Nikki heads upstairs to change. Victor suggests Nick accept the fact that his mother has no interest in working things out.

Mike’s frustrated when Phyllis again refuses to give Victor his company back. He believes Chris would like to drop the case but as a ‘consummate professional’, she won’t.

We need to stay strong, Sharon tries to calm Sienna down. I won’t let him hurt you or anyone else, Noah vows.

Putting money on the table and finishing his coffee, Matt stares at the key/card. I’ve gotta figure out what happened to me and who the hell I am.

My Thoughts: No, ‘of course’ Nick isn’t ‘making excuses’ for his father kidnapping Jack – then proceeds to offer the excuse that he felt desperate because he lost his ’empire’ – the empire he ‘built for you’. Yeah, he built the house for Nikki too – then kicked her out of it. Good Lord, Victor is insufferable… I guess Nick has forgotten that Jack was his stepfather once upon a time .. Given the history between Chris and Phyllis, is there no mechanism to replace her due to conflict of interest? Has Chris had a forensic accountant go over these emails?… Surely a perp walk wasn’t necessary, Phyllis could have turned herself in, accompanied by her lawyer … Since this evidence is indeed fabricated, will Victor (and Victoria) be charged with fraud? … Odd that all this corporate espionage is taking place without ANY of GC’s many media companies reporting on it. Where’s Leanna Love when you need her? … Who’s running Sharon’s company? What exactly does Lauren’s job entail?
