At the ranch, Matt tells Victor that he’s ready – he hopes he can deliver the results Victor wants and earn forgiveness from the family. Victor believes they can achieve both goals.
Guess there’s no point in continuing this conversation, Lily hopes Billy will accept her decision without passing judgement. Billy can’t do that because he still cares about her. With nothing else to say, he walks off.
Noah raves about the great PR of having Danny Romalotti bartending; Sienna was so excited. When Nick comments that going to the opening might have been triggering for him, Nikki sees his self-awareness as progress. Sharon’s just dropped the bomb that Matt’s living at the ranch when Victor calls to summon him, Noah and Sharon. Nikki wants to go give Victor a piece of her mind, but Nick shuts that down.
Phyllis wants Lauren to run Arabesque with her but would understand if it’s too much drama for her. OK, Lauren’s in – let’s do it.
When Adam and Chelsea arrive, Matt knows it must be unsettling for her and apologizes for what happened in Vegas. Adam will arrange your first contact with Cane, Victor instructs. How do I manage people who know who I am? Matt wonders – what if someone, like Phyllis, tells Cane who I am? If he found out how you’ve hurt the family, Cane would probably buy you a beer, Adam jokes.
Does he need to be here? Nick would rather not run into Matt every time he comes to see his Dad. Matt understands and is sorry. Matt wants to make amends, Victor needs him to walk around like he’s a changed man. If you run into him, don’t react with anger or fear – treat him like he’s a normal citizen of GC, Victor hopes they can all do that.
Following Billy to the bar, Lily thinks Cane will surprise him – you care about him, she knows. Should I warn Cane that you’re coming after him? No, Billy will act surprised when Cane tells him. Lily’s phone pings – no, it’s not Abby or Devon. We’ll hear from them soon, Billy reassures.
Victor ends a call as Phyllis arrives at the ranch. Did you come to finalize the deal? She hopes this isn’t about retribution. Nope – he’s just sent the paperwork to transfer ownership of Arabesque – maybe you and Summer can make amends. Victor then announces that he’s got a plan in motion; he’s giving Matt a cover story to allow him to walk around GC – don’t interfere with my mission. Phyllis gives her word, but on the front step, looks troubled.
