Billy gets more joy watching Sally succeed without him. Jill knows they’re crushing it based on her quarterly reports. Her concern is Billy working under Cane. He doesn’t believe his mother wants to reconnect with him.
Lauren agrees that Diane’s innocent but what if Jack doesn’t wake up in time to tell them that Patty stabbed him? Worse, Mike worries he won’t wake up at all.
Diane can’t believe Patty was allowed to move in; think of poor Traci (losing Colleen) What possessed your father to give in!? Dad did it to protect you – Patty made it clear you’d be collateral damage, Kyle’s convinced this is far from over – the family is still in danger.
With a clipboard and pen, Patty spots the guard outside Jack’s room and ducks out of sight.
Mike asked Diane to call him when Jack regained consciousness – and she hasn’t, he worries. Lauren has faith he can save another of their dear friends (Diane)
Billy DOES feel that way. I don’t hear from you for weeks on end – until something happens with Chancellor. Jill’s defensive – YOU didn’t tell me you were getting married and expecting a baby. You have four kids; Philip, me, Cane and Chancellor (and you only care about the last two) Billy pays for his take out and assumes Jill will be heading back to London soon. Can’t get rid of me fast enough, huh? Jill mopes.
Pulling the framed photos of her and Jack from the drawer, Diane’s surprised the witch didn’t burn it. She’s packed some clothes for when Jack’s discharged. Billy’s picking up breakfast, Kyle adds.
When the guard leaves his post to get water, Patty slips into Jack’s room. Did you miss me, love? she looks down at the unconscious Jack.
Lauren gushes over the great man she married. No, Mike doesn’t miss working for Victor full time; he finds it easier to accommodate Victor’s assignments in small doses. He enjoys spending time with Lauren, Scotty and Fen – and is happy Lauren’s working with Phyllis at Arabesque. The Baldwins are definitely not ‘bored’ ~kiss~
Jill hopes for one more conversation before she leaves town. ‘We’ll see’, Billy gives Sally a kiss and an ‘I love you’ while barely nodding at Jill. Sally hands Jill a napkin – don’t take it personally. He’ll come around.
Kyle and Diane slowly make their way to the front door. Both hoping ‘Jack will come back to us’ but neither seems convinced.
Patty always knew Jack was a fighter – it’s killing me knowing what I have to do next. I’ve worked too hard to frame Diane. Taking his hand, she can’t have him ruin everything. Jack must take this secret to his grave, she pulls out a syringe ….
