Victoria arrives at the ranch to what feels like a ‘tribunal’. Adam and Chelsea thought they were summoned for a celebration of the coup they pulled off for Newman. Victor asks them to explain to Victoria how they managed to reclaim Newman Media without bloodshed.

Audra’s happy she closed her deal with Renee; Sally’s happy she hired the best partner (who presses her to tell Billy before someone else does – like Adam)

At home, Billy’s on the phone with Cane. Yeah, I know you don’t believe there’s a big secret; Billy’s excited about the job. He ignores a call from Jill and tells Cane it wasn’t important.

Adam wonders why they’re getting the third degree. Victor thinks he and Victoria deserve to know how they managed to get Newman Media back. Why is that a problem?

Planning to tell Billy later, Sally feels guilty about selling the company he gave her as a gift. There’ll be hell to pay if he finds out from someone else, Audra warns.

Adam claims that he told Sally that Victor was never going to buy Newman Media back and that he’d take both companies from them. They made the smart choice to give NM back. Victoria’s also suspicious; Sally and Audra refused to give it back to Victor – how did you get them to change their minds? Adam didn’t – I did, Chelsea jumps in.

Ending the call with Cane, Billy goes online to start investigating Chancellors’ ‘complexities’. Finding nothing in the first 30 seconds, he might have to dig deeper and get his hands dirty. When Sally calls, he reiterates that his Mom’s keeping a secret. Where are you? Sally asks. I’m at home – what’s going on? Billy’s curious.

Citing Chelsea’s affair, Victoria’s surprised she was able to sway Sally. Why would she believe you? Chelsea related to Sally and Audra (she’s been an outsider and on Victor’s bad side) They didn’t want compensation? Victoria has a gut feeling that Adam and Chelsea are leaving something out. Adam’s annoyed – he was blindsided when passed over as CEO after being a ‘loyal soldier’. If you want me to go to the dark side again – keep pushing!

Billy tells Sally that he popped into a book store and picked up Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – let’s start reading it to the baby tonight. What did you want to tell me? Sally wants to tell him to his face – see you soon. Hoping Billy won’t be too upset, Audra wonders if there’s more to Sally’s hesitation.
