Danny really wants to root himself in GC. Buying half the bar is good for both him and Noah. Danny did it to prove that he’s sticking around. He tells the Baldwins that he’ll continue to record music but this is his home. ‘All I need is you’ (Chris)
After Claire and Holden go to the patio, Victoria comments that Kyle and Claire seem to be on good terms. Break ups are never easy but ‘feelings fade’. Kyle’s not crazy about Holden – are you happy he’s with Claire? he asks Victoria.
On the patio, Holden and Claire agree that things were a bit weird in there. Reporting his ‘intense’ run-in with Cane and Billy, Holden explains the war over Chancellor. Lily wants Holden on her side – but, if she loses the company, where would I be? he worries.
Cane wants to protect Billy from himself. This will break Jill. Jack’s trying to protect his father’s name. Billy arrives to suggest they don’t fight at all.
Danny will miss the fans but not being on the road. At a festival with Lucy, Daniel’s apparently excited about his Dad’s plans. Thinking it will be nice for him to have a parent in town who won’t cause trouble, the Baldwins know she’s referring to Phyllis.
Victoria’s come around on Holden; she likes Stephanie, and he cares a lot about Claire. Kyle’s glad for them; he’s moved on.
Claire wonders if Lily will just ‘let Billy have this one’. Holden just wants a regular job (that doesn’t involve chaos or spying) As for Billy, he seems ready for whatever Lily and Cane throw at him.
Jack’s always on Billy’s side – he’s just looking for a solution. ‘Easy’, Billy has the documents to support his claim – Cane and Lily need to be reasonable. Where is Lily? With Amanda and the legal team. Billy won’t let his father be cheated. The Abbotts own Chancellor but he’ll throw Cane a bone if he helps with the transfer of power.
Billy will give Cane his job – head of research and development. Victor GAVE Lily the company, she didn’t earn it, he adds. Your place is HERE (Jabot) Cane insists. When Jack asks Billy what he’ll gain by owning Chancellor, Billy leaves in a huff – tell Lily I’ll be in touch!
Back at the Shadow Room, Danny hopes Daniel and Phyllis reconcile. This rift with her kids is killing her, the Baldwins know. Chris doubts Phyllis will never change. Everyone’s capable of changing; I’m an example, Danny grins.
