Cane and Lily discuss Billy’s gloating. The best part? If I finesse the deal I can have a job – not just any job – the job I gave him, Cane will fight (and win) by Lily’s side. We know Billy’s many weaknesses and will exploit all of them.

What are we drinking to? Audra asks. I’m finally about to get my hands on a company I never should have lost. I’ll be running Chancellor by next week, Billy boasts. Yes, it’s legit and aboveboard. What does Sally think about all this? Audra asks.

Jack’s too worried about Jill’s health to go to her. Yes, it would be nice to know if she knows but if Billy got confirmation she knew and hid it from him, it’d be the match to light the fuse. Kyle thinks they should let Billy implode on his own.

Seated with Matt, Sharon can’t downplay what he’s done to her family. The Nick she knew is lost and full of self loathing because he can’t beat this addiction. Matt’s so sorry – please let me know if there’s anything I can do. Leave, Sharon suggests – don’t be a constant reminder of what you’ve done to us. Matt has a job – and Phyllis. She accepts me – I don’t feel so alone, I want a life here.

Matt feels like two different people – the man people think he is and the man he feels he is. Sharon once did unimaginable things. I’m bipolar – I was forgiven because I wasn’t in my right mind. You truly are trying to change, she believes it will be harder in GC. Matt’s finally where he’s meant to be.

Sally will approve when I tell her, Billy’s sure she’ll be happy for him. Audra’s not so sure. I can’t win with you, Billy insists it’s all legit. The Abbotts will own Chancellor. Yet, you’re drinking alone because your family ‘doesn’t see the big picture’, she points out. Audra then orders champagne – to celebrate with her friend. That’s a big word, Billy quips.

Jack’s exhausted. Kyle understands why – and agrees Billy should fight on his own. Jack told Cane that they’d step back – unless it comes to protecting John’s legacy/reputation.

If things get ugly, Cane will get his hands dirty so Lily’s can stay clean. No, she’s IN this fight. The legal team thinks the documents are legit. Jack’s hands-off unless we go after John’s legacy. Lily doesn’t want to fight all the Abbotts but will do whatever’s necessary to keep Chancellor – period.

Friendship means honesty – Audra wants Billy to let go of his distrust of her. Your reputation’s not stellar, Billy asks if she has any true friends. No, that’s why Sally’s trust means so much to Audra. They bond over wanting to prove themselves to ‘naysayers’ and be true to Sally.

Lily’s ‘fired up’ – she won’t leave the fate of Katherine’s legacy to lawyers and judges. She wants a plan in case Billy’s docs are legit. Billy can gloat and beat his chest but I’m my mother and father’s daughter – mess with me and he’ll regret it, she assures Cane.

Victor and Nikki are all warm and fuzzy – we always find our way back to each other. Victor will treasure this book. He knows she’s thinking about Nick.
