Matt agrees that his life would be better if he left town. Something is holding him back. He doesn’t know why he comes to see Sharon. Maybe you’re looking for absolution and can’t move forward because you’re stuck. Matt cries. Yeah, I am. He wants Sharon and Nick’s forgiveness most of all. Sharon’s near tears too.

The lights now on, Nikki’s sorry to distract from their romantic evening. Yes, she is thinking about Nick – he has a long road ahead of him. At least Matt’s moved off the property. If only we could banish him forever.

Forgiveness doesn’t come easy, Sharon explains. Maybe you only need to forgive yourself – that will give you the freedom to move on – to a place where all people see is a kind man. That sounds like running away to Matt. I’ll show you and your family – I’ll earn your forgiveness no matter what it takes, he vows.

Sally respects you and your instincts, Billy continues – she trusts you; you’ve never let her down. That’s the kind of person she needs in her life. You aren’t terrible, Audra jokes. Billy thanks her for joining him tonight. We’re getting there, they drink.

Cane remembers Lily getting a red card for storming onto a soccer pitch when the kids were in pee wee soccer. You were ejected from the game – what a maniac, he jokes – the kids and I are lucky to have you (as my boss, he quickly adds)

Arriving with Kyle at Society, Jack goes over to say Hi to Lily – he’s sorry for what she’s going through with Billy. Not sorry enough to stop him, Lily frowns.

While thinking it admirable that Matt wants forgiveness, Sharon tells him to be realistic – think of how the people you tried to kill feel about seeing you around town. There’s a lot of trauma for me and Nick. Yes, Sienna and Noah left town because of you. Matt’s sorry. He knows it might take months, years or not at all. Please tell Nick I asked how he’s doing. Agreeing, Sharon’s left to look alarmed.

Here’s to your new venture and you’re success, Audra toasts. Here’s to friendship ; one less doubter, one less hater, Billy clinks her glass again. Coming through the revolving door, Sally’s NOT happy to see her fiancee and her BFF looking so cosy.

You know I couldn’t talk Billy out of this even if I tried; Jack’s focus is deescalation. Trying to talk Billy out of it might cause him to fight harder. Lily knows Jack’s loyal to his brother – she and Cane are loyal to Katherine. We’re NOT backing down.
