Stephanie and Nate run into Devon at the park cafe. Yes, Nate’s nervous about tomorrow’s surgery but knows he’s in good hands. You’re a miracle worker, Devon praises Stephanie.

You’re never going to give Matt a shot, are you? Phyllis wants Nick to let go of his past opinion. Of Matt or of you? Nick scowls. When Marie appears to thank Nick for talking her off the ledge, Phyllis asks – what ledge?

Making her disdain for Audra clear, Ester leaves her and Kyle to go at it again. You never could take your eyes off me, Audra tosses her hair. When Victoria arrives, she chirps – we were just talking about you. You’ve been a naughty girl. Both Victoria and Kyle look uncomfortable.

After Nate comes out with two espressos, Stephanie insists on taking him to and from his surgery. Devon observes with amusement as they fawn over one another.

When Nikki comes home, Victor tells her that the woman Nick saved checked into the same facility – there seems to be a connection, he worries.

Introduced to Marie, Phyllis again asks about the ledge – it sounds serious. No big deal, but Marie doesn’t know what she’d do without Nick. After she leaves, Phyllis asks Nick how her protecting Matt is different from him protecting that woman. They’ve both made mistakes and want a fresh start. Phyllis will help Matt with that (if Nick’s family hasn’t killed him)

When Kyle clarifies that Audra’s talking about Vibrante, Victoria tells her that her team will be reaching out about some patents; enjoy watching how it’s done. When Vibrante tanks ‘spectacularly’, Audra will be happy to report it on Spectra Charles. Now alone with Kyle, Victoria flashes back to their tryst.

Loving their friendship, Devon learns that Nate and Stephanie didn’t know each other before Malcolm’s health scare. Yes, she’s friends with Olivia. Pledging that he’s 100% committed to working with Stephanie at Memorial, Nate takes her off for a walk.

Still on the patio, Kyle tells Victoria that he didn’t mention Vibrante to Audra – what if she fights for the patents? Victoria’s confident she’ll get them but wishes she hadn’t had to tell her father about their marketing strategy so soon.
