Nick and this woman have been placed in each others lives – what comes of that will be up to them, Nikki thinks it would be better if Nick got help from someone further along in their recovery. You mean Jack, Victor assumes.

Instead of focusing on your kids and your ‘busted up’ company, you’re trying to convince everyone that Matt’s been redeemed, Nick sets Phyllis off. Don’t paint me as a bad mother! Matt makes me feel good. When Nick suspects they’re coming after the family, Phyllis blames his withdrawal for his paranoia. Nick’s convinced something’s going on.

What happened to not telling Victor yet? Kyle wonders. Victoria should have known better than to try keeping a secret from her father. After her great pitch, he was all in – I promised him that Vibrante would beat Jabot. Good luck with that, Kyle chuckles.

Nikki hadn’t planned to mention Jack and doesn’t want to argue. That said, someone with a solid foundation of sobriety would be better able to help Nick. Jack relapsed recently, Victor hardly thinks him the pillar of sobriety Nikki purports him to be. YOU brought him up! she points out. Victor only cares about Nick’s recovery and doesn’t give a damn about Jack Abbott!

Phyllis tells Nick to focus on his sobriety – I’ll go live my life. He doesn’t want her to get hurt. Matt’s disappeared before – he came back as Carter Mills and Mitch Becal (both ‘evil’) You better pray Matt’s who you think he is or ALL of us are in trouble, he warns.

Patty’s sitting on her prison bunk when Matt appears. I knew you wouldn’t be able to stay away, she doesn’t seem surprised to see him.

My Thoughts: Weird that the building Nate (and Lily) live in doesn’t require visitors to buzz up for access … Stephanie thinks Nate wiping crumbs off his tiny kitchen table shows his ‘attention to detail’ and that makes him an ‘excellent’ surgeon? I guess she knows he’ll be good at stitching up patients because he can tie his own shoelaces …. Sure wish old, powerful men would realize how immature they sound when using derogatory nicknames … If Victoria’s such a genius with so many ideas, why does she need to copy Audra’s? And if she wants Vibrante to be young, fresh and hip, perhaps she should let Claire run it …. Victor makes it sound like Nikki would have a problem with him going after Jabot but it’s not a business rivalry she opposes, it’s kidnapping a business rival and weaponizing a mentally unstable woman she objects to. How rich of Victor to say that the Abbotts (or anyone) plays dirty. Pot meet kettle.
