Daniel does miss his friendship with Tessa. We were both going through a lot – things got mixed up. He’s glad they’re back together and happy. Tessa misses you too, Mariah suggests Daniel give her a call.
After Marie leaves the room, Nick tells Sharon that Phyllis visited him. Sharon knows and worries how bad things could get if she finds Matt.
Phyllis barges into Matt’s motel room to give him a kiss. The self-declared ‘master of reinvention’, she knows how everyone ‘ticks’ in this town. The first step? Making friends out of your enemies, she grins.
Daniel might reach out to Tessa to thank her. Mariah would like to see them play together again. Hearing that he’s working with his Dad at the Shadow Room, she suggests they play a gig there.
Rejoining Nick after Sharon’s gone, Marie’s informed that she and Phyllis are his exes. Being by yourself is better than being with the wrong person, Marie sighs. When Adam appears, Nick comments – that’s my brother. If he’s here, there’s trouble.
Back in the motel room, Matt doesn’t see the people he’s ‘wronged’ as his ‘enemies’ and is puzzled when Phyllis announces that she just lied to Adam (by saying she hadn’t found him)
Both standing, Mariah again encourages Daniel to reach out to Tessa. After a hug, they wish each other happiness and acknowledge honouring Cassie. Have a great day. You too, Daniel sits back down to look rattled.
Victoria’s visibly disappointed that Kyle has to ‘get going’. Have a good day, both say. Watching him leave, she’s left to smile like a giddy schoolgirl.
Shaking Adam’s hand, Marie introduces herself as ‘Queen of the Stomach Pump’ and leaves Nick to confirm that she’s the woman he saved. Yeah, we’re friends – you got a problem with that? They joke about who’s Dad’s favourite son and worry about Phyllis’ obsession with Matt.
Phyllis lied to Adam because she knows he’ll tell Victor. It’s safer this way. We need to figure out a way to redeem you. When Matt suggests he save her from choking in a restaurant, Phyllis decides it needs to be someone else – someone who’s close to the Newmans.
