Arriving at the club, Sharon thanks Phyllis and can’t remember the last time she had a girls lunch. Claiming she needs to take a call, Phyllis sends Sharon off to get a table and ‘something expensive and fun to drink’. She then calls Matt …
Ignoring Phyllis’ call, Matt learns that Patty’s unfinished business is Jack. She needs to find a place to hide out while ‘we’ plan ‘our’ next move. Matt’s next move has nothing to do with Patty – the one with an agenda is YOU.
Convinced Patty’s in town, Jack has an idea to smoke her out that requires Billy’s help. Absolutely, what’s the plan? Billy’s onboard.
Matt doesn’t want to be rude but can’t be associated with an escaped felon. That’s rich – are you a Boy Scout now? Is Phyllis going to sew a patch onto your shirt? Patty mocks. OK, byeeee, Matt heads for the door. You’re in over your head with Phyllis, Patty warns.
Why aren’t you answering your phone? Phyllis leaves a message for Matt. I’m at the club with Sharon. The only thing missing is you. Get here soon before I chicken out.
You’re good at hiding – go hide someplace else, Matt suggests. You still believe you can make them like you, Patty looks sorry for Matt. Here’s the number to my burner phone. Call me if you change your mind. Now alone, Matt listens to Phyllis’ urgent message.
When Phyllis joins her, Sharon asks if everything’s OK. Hope so, Phyllis forces a smile and opens her menu.
At the motel, Matt sits to put his thinking/conflicted face on.
My Thoughts: Matt calling Patty ‘Crazy Eyes’ (a character from the prison series ‘Orange is the New Black’) made my day. I much prefer this comical version (vs the homicidal version) of Matt … How dense is Sharon? Did her psychology courses not include a section on how to spot a manic depressive? … Are Patty and Matt about to do the ole ‘criss cross’ scheme. He’ll do her dirty work (Jack and Diane) while Patty acts against Sharon and Nick? They can then focus their combined evilness towards their shared enemy – Victor… GCPD could solve a lot of cases if they just staked out the Riverside Motel. It’s been the go-to place for every criminal who’s ever been on the run. If Jack wants to ‘smoke’ Patty out, he should just go to the Riverside Motel and pull the fire alarm.
