Diane’s joined the family for wine and chatter. Arriving with Sally, Coco receives a warm welcome. Giving Billy a kiss, Sally can’t wait for what comes next.
The first topic of discussion is Sally and Coco growing up in a ‘playful environment’. Sally will be the best Mom, Coco’s sure; Billy agrees. Kyle arrives late to the party due to a ‘work issue’.
Getting dressed (from the waist up) Victoria sniffs Kyle’s shirt – that’s not who we are, she tosses it aside. Victor calls to scold her for being late for a video call with Japan.
Seated at the table, Coco’s been sent questions for Billy to answer as she records his answers for Grams and Aunt Sally. This isn’t your first rodeo – convince us you won’t tank this one too. Though taken aback, all laugh.
Billy’s ‘got this’. As Sally records, he admits to historically being a screw-up but will never hurt Sally (who he lists everything he loves about) Next question? You already knocked her up – how will you keep things spicy when you’re old ‘marrieds’? All laugh again.
Victoria didn’t see the alert (for the meeting) but has it covered. Byeeeee. She pulls out her tablet and jumps online to start the video- call while sitting in her panties.
Passing food and comical insults around, the Abbotts make small talk. Sally and Coco are moved to tears by Jack’s warm welcome into the family.
Now in the living room, Sally puts Diane’s hand on her belly to feel the baby kick. She’s grateful for the Abbott’s support and to be included. Ashley can see that she and Billy love each other – that’s what makes you family.
