At CL’s, Chelsea and Adam clasp hands across the table to celebrate how ‘normal’ Connor is. Victor dropped by the office, Adam announces. What does he want? To make someone’s life hell.
Despite it being late, Victor calls Cane to demand that he kindly come to the ranch.
At Society’s bar, Jack tells Billy that he hasn’t heard from Cane about buying him out of Abbott Communications. Is he getting cold feet or are you having second thoughts about pushing me out?
Still in his suite, Phyllis asks about Cane’s phone call. Curiosity killed the cat. To unexpected and exciting collaborations, he clinks her glass.
As Phyllis enjoys her Negroni, Cane’s drawn to her assets – your skill-set, he corrects. No one plays me and gets away with it, she warns.
Chelsea doesn’t blame Victor for wanting to protect his family (assuming he’s going against Cane) Adam’s talking about Billy; he might be turning against his own family.
Billy’s not pushing Jack out – you jumped ship. No, he’s not reconsidering moving ahead with the buyout. Observing that Billy’s on edge, Jack wonders if he’s spoken to Cane.
Adam tells Chelsea that Billy’s in cahoots with Cane – which makes him a threat to the Newmans that Victor must deal with.
Billy tells Jack that his meeting with Cane was derailed by Jill. She and Cane got close when Collin was dying. Billy’s pissed that she kept Cane’s secret – in him, she has the son she always wanted.
Cane has no intention of playing Phyllis, but he does love games. Yes, she passed his test but that doesn’t mean he won’t challenge her.
Chelsea supports going after Cane but needs proof that Billy’s involved before going after him. Adam has no proof that he’s working with Cane but must trust his father’s instincts. Chelsea thinks she might be able to get the truth from Billy.
Billy’s hurt that his Mom’s more connected to Cane than him. Jack encourages him to make amends. Vowing to get Chancellor back with or without Cane, Billy confirms that he knows his plan – things in GC are about to get ugly.
Phyllis hitched her star to Billy (twice) only to come crashing down to earth when he fired her. She and Cane want something from each other; it’s transactional. Cane smiles when Phyllis wonders who they’re going after first.
