At his nervous Mom’s place, Noah wonders what his grandpa’s up to – you said Matt would spot a tail a mile away. Yes, Nick agrees – that’s why we came up with a better plan.
Victor ends a call with his team – you’re ready to move in? Send me the location. He refuses to let Adam go in his place – that sonofabitch tried to kill my grandson, framed my son – and God knows what he did to Sharon.
Sitting on the bed where Sienna lays unconscious, Matt goes through photos on his phone, again playing the poor, cheated-on husband. Til death do us part was a vow, not a suggestion. Today might be the day.
Adam continues his pitch – you were shot in this very room! You ARE this family – we need you to stay alive. Victor tells Adam not to worry – Nick will take charge and make sure Matt stays down.
Now awake, Sienna asks Matt to unlock the handcuff – you’ll never see me again. She claims her cheating was a cry for attention – she was sure he cheated with women who threw themselves at him. We can make this right, she caresses Matt’s cheek.
After Victor sends him the location, Nick rejects Noah going with him.
Sienna continues to whine at ‘Mitch’, she loves him and wants to talk. Instead, Matt tightens the handcuff. You’re a sick bastard! she shouts. Turned off by her desperation, Matt tells Sienna that it’s too late for her to beg for her life.
*** Crap. This is the last place I hit ‘save’ before my laptop crashed. It’s too late to rewatch the show so I’m going to wing it and skip to the exciting part.
Matt tells Sienna that he is indeed Matt Clark – and that’s bad for her, because he IS as dangerous as they all say he is.
Annie comes in to say the car’s ready. Downstairs, Matt shoves Sienna against the car to kiss her ‘for old time’s sake’. Pushed back, he touches his bloody lip. You drew first blood but I’ll draw last blood, he snarls at Sienna.
Sharon and Noah insist on going with Nick. Frustrated, he grabs his jacket and follows them out.
On speakerphone, Nick complains about being stuck in traffic. Sharon and Noah can be heard chiming in, while Adam’s listening with Victor at the ranch.
Annie’s trying to shove Sienna into the car when the screeching of tires announces the arrival of Victor’s hired goons. Hands up! they aim. Nick strolls over, followed by Sharon and Noah (whose arms Sienna runs into) You didn’t see the drone that’s been following you since the park, he gloats. The finest of Newman Technology, Matt quips.
When Nick shoves Matt into the ranch living room, Victor rewards his jokes with a sucker punch to the gut that doubles him over (Matt, not Nick)
Now at the house, safe and sound in Noah’s arms, Sienna talks about her harrowing ordeal. Returning with a tray of snacks, Sharon’s eyes bug out as she walks in on them being affectionate. Recovering quickly, Sharon switches from protective Mom mode to empathetic therapist mode. She’s so relieved that this nightmare is over.
Driven through the night, Matt’s in the back seat, distracting Nick with witty, one-sided banter. He wonders who Sharon likes best (in bed) You? Your Dad? Your brother? Me? Managing to maneuver his bound hands from behind his back, he suddenly lunges forward to choke Nick – who struggles to breathe and keep the car on the road (as one would)
