At the outdoor restaurant in LA, Holden tells Claire that he can’t go on their planned hike because Cane’s PI hasn’t been able to locate Lily and the twins – it’s looking more likely that Victor’s abducted them.
On his train, Cane’s leaving Phyllis the world’s longest voicemail – he didn’t see this coming. You pissed off a lot of people – why aren’t you here to gloat? You can’t hide forever – where the hell are you?
At Society, Billy’s throwing a fit about Victoria ‘taking things too far’ (by sending the kids to boarding school) Jack’s not surprised – you took the Newmans’ empire. When Victoria arrives with Nate, Billy confronts her immediately – how dare you take my kids away from me!?
Victoria’s doing what’s necessary to protect the kids from Billy’s reckless behaviour (and the fallout coming) – you can’t stop it. When Nate tries to intercede, Billy tells him to stay the hell out of it.
When Holden relays Cane’s belief that Victor has Lily and the twins somewhere., Claire’s sure he’d never put them in harms way. Phyllis double crossed Cane, Holden adds that she’s missing too. Claire thinks that Cane’s getting the karma he deserves (for creating the AI program)
Cane blathers on about getting what he deserves; he admires Phyllis’ and forgives her. I don’t want to lose you (he hopes they can continue their personal relationship) Call me and let me know you’re alright ~click~ Daniel arrives – maybe I can help you find my Mom.
Thanking Daniel for coming, Cane learns that Phyllis has taken the Newman jet (now her jet) to Milan, in hopes she’ll come back to GC to help her run NE. Daniel (and Summer) won’t forgive their Mom, just like the twins won’t forgive you (Cane)
As much as Claire hates what Phyllis has done, she doesn’t blame her for double-crossing Cane (and hates that Holden’s still working for him) Are things getting serious between us? he asks. When Claire claims she’s not ready for ‘serious’, Holden wonders ‘is there something about ME that’s holding you back?????’
Jack and Nate calm things down and go to the bar for a drink while Victoria and Billy argue outside. Give back what you stole from my family! she accuses Billy of pulling the rug out from under their grandmother’s feet. You Newmans will have to get over this and ‘move on’; Billy can’t believe she’s using their kids to blackmail him over a company that should have been his all along! You’ll go along with my plan (and sign the paperwork) whether you like it or not, Victoria’s confident.
At the bar, Nate wonders where Jack’s allegiance lies – with his friend Nikki or his brother who’s hurting her.
When Billy refuses to send his kids away again, Victoria threatens to call the school and tell them he’s being criminally investigated for stealing her father’s company – when I’m through with you, you’ll be lucky if they let you chaperone a field trip to the zoo!
