On the patio, Devon smirks at Cane – you must feel pretty good about yourself; saving Malcolm’s life, running Chancellor, and back in Lily’s good graces.

As Lily ends the call with Mattie, Nikki stops by her table. I hear congratulations are in order. You lied. You didn’t go along with Victor’s plan to teach Cane a lesson – you were promised Chancellor.

Freshly showered, Diane calls out for Laurence. Getting no reply, she runs to jiggle the doorknob on the front door (to no avail)

Joining Billy at Society, Sally tells him that the wedding venue she wanted was sold to a developer. Let’s get married at the Abbott mansion. That can’t happen anytime soon, Billy adds that the only Abbott welcome at the house right now is Jack.

As Jack thanks Kyle and Traci for going along with his plan, Patty wheels her large suitcases in. Why would I knock at my own home? she laughs. How sweet that Traci and Kyle are there to welcome her. There’s simply not enough room here, she drapes herself over Jack.

Inviting Nikki to join her, Lily understands why she’d feel betrayed. Nikki’s heard a rumour that Cane will be running Chancellor. If so, it’s a disgrace.

Sitting across from Cane, Devon tells the ‘dumbass’ that doing one good thing doesn’t erase the bad things (which he lists – ending with the death of two people in Nice) Cane vows to prove that he’s a better person.

Traci’s not thrilled at being thrown out of her family home; Patty leeching onto Jack makes her sick. He WILL come to his senses – we’ll be back and you’ll be OUT. After the pain ‘this woman’ has caused his Mom, Kyle will never forgive his Dad for this

Searching for something to help her escape, Diane finds a key and unlocks a desk drawer. A phone – which is useless without a password. Barking dogs announce the return of Laurence. Everything OK? he comes in to ask.

Your arrogance knows no bounds, Devon dislikes Cane because of how badly he’s hurt and disappointed Lily and the twins. Vowing to prove himself, Cane knows Devon’s trying to provoke him. And it’s working – he’d like to punch Devon ‘but I’m not that man’.
