Stephanie runs into Nate at the club. She’s not surprised to hear that he just closed a deal – congratulations. As for Nikki’s surgery, she ‘feels’ they’ll get good news.
The Newmans are all at the ranch making light about a very serious topic – Nikki’s eyesight. The surgery went well but they won’t know if it worked for days or even weeks.
At Society, Matt stops by Cane’s table to be introduced to Lily as a friend of the Newmans. Something’s been bugging him. Here me out? he appeals to Cane.

Stephanie tells Nate that she just took Virginia Nottingham back to the airport – she was so focused while operating but a few hours later ‘giddy’ about flying on the Newman jet. Nate would like to buy Stephanie a drink – the least he could do for a hero of the day.

The Newmans talk about how strong and ferocious Nikki was/is – when advocating for Victoria when she gave birth to Reed while in a coma. Holding the family together after Cassie died. Fighting MS and her addiction. Flashback to Nikki in a hospital bed (after ‘that Landers woman’ shot her) saying that Victor marrying her gave her the will to live. Victoria hopes her parents can make it back to one another.
