Adam doesn’t sleep in here – he thinks until the buzzer goes off at six. He goes over a list of things to be grateful for (which includes Mike, Dylan, Chelsea and Connor) This place sucks the life and hope out of you. Mike asks Adam to keep believing. You’ll get your shot at redemption. Adam’s thin thread is about to snap. Chloe’s the key. Find proof that she was working with Victor. Get Kevin to help (all the more reason if he’s in love with her)
Chelsea tells the Newmans to take their gifts and get the hell out. When Chloe comes down to agree, Nikki reminds that she ran Adam over – and won’t let them talk about her husband like this. You don’t know who your friends are but will find out the hard way, Victor says (and is shown the door by Chloe) I don’t know what I’d have done without you, Chelsea weeps on her BFF’s shoulder.
Chelsea thinks that seeing Connor would give Adam hope – but he’s dead set against it. Connor keeps asking for his Daddy – and Adam needs him too. Chelsea decides to surprise Adam with a visit from Connor.
At the club, Nikki thinks Chelsea will come around. Victor blames Chloe for turning Chelsea against him. What did you mean by saying you’re Adam’s only hope? Nikki wonders. Victor gets a mysterious text message – Katherine is expecting us. With apologies, he leaves to take care of something.
Dylan tells Kevin that he’s got no badge to help Adam – I’m going out for some air. Thinking it’s a good thing he won’t be able to go after Chloe, Kevin’s left to gaze into his computer.
Folding laundry, Mariah confides that Kevin asked her to be his love guru. Maybe he is using her (as Sharon suggests) – but she likes being needed. On cue, Kevin calls – I need you.
No, it’s not Natalie – Kevin wonders why Chloe hasn’t responded to his flowers and card. How can you walk away from someone when you know you’re supposed to be together? Let her come to you, Mariah says he’ll mess it up by forcing it. Bye. Sharon comes down to suggest Mariah take her own good advice.
Mike’s back at the station to pressures Kevin to help Adam – you know what it’s like to be in a tiny cell. Kevin knows Chloe’s not behind it – so back off!
Victor and Chloe meet at Chancellor Park to argue. Nobody would be suspicious if she’d left town like she was told. Victor doesn’t think this funny anymore.
