As the lights go out at the penthouse, Chloe wonders aloud to Chelsea why Kevin would leave without saying goodbye.

When power goes out at Sharon’s place, she freaks even more – Patty could find Nick or Paul out there. Or stab someone with a letter opener, Mariah the optimist quips.
Kids sleep through everything, Chloe comments on the spooky ambiance – you OK? Chelsea is – any word on Kevin? Nope – but Chloe would be as concerned about anyone. Chelsea turns around a pumpkin to show that Kevin cut a heart into it (clearly a sign) In tears, she then confides reliving the explosion Adam died in. I lost him again.
Locked in Phyllis’ office, Billy grumbles about her laptop not being charged. He just ripped into Ashley and Jack for messing with Brash n Sassy’s manufacturing schedule. Suspecting she’s in on it, Billy will unlock the door if Phyllis tells him what Jack’s up to.
Stonevale has generators and is on lockdown – the doctor doesn’t think Patty capable of escaping. Then you don’t know who you’re dealing with – Paul doesn’t want to hear any excuses – he wants to see the visitors log and Patty’s paintings.
It’s Patty – she’s out there and cut power to the house, Sharon blurts out. Why would she come here? Nick wonders.
Over wine, Chloe distracts Chelsea with talk of her pregnancy and delivery. Oh what great friends they are – we tell each other everything. Not everyone has that.
As a siren wails in the background, Paul and the doctor look at Patty’s painting by flashlight – you can feel the peace and freedom; two things she never had. The next painting is of Dr Anderson – if only we knew what was going through Patty’s head. What’s this? Paul finds a painting of a pregnant woman – at Fairview – yes, he does know who she might be.
Sharon frets to Nick – Patty’s on the loose – maybe she cut power to the house. Nope – Nick checks his phone – the whole city is out. Why would Patty come here? Supporting her Mom, Mariah reminds that Patty broke out to visit Dylan – she could come and spout nonsense – who knows? OK, Nick will go have a look – and he doesn’t need a fire poker as a weapon. Sharon and Mariah are left to hope that Nick and Patty don’t cross paths.
Billy’s still in Phyllis’ office when security comes along. Unfortunately, he has no master key to this ‘closet’. Why doesn’t the guy inside just open the door? He’s being a jackass, Phyllis demands security forget the keys and break down the door.
Billy thinks security should be attending to more important problems. No, Billy Abbott is in there – committing corporate espionage, she has the guard continue to try open the door (as Billy plugs in the flashdrive)
Chuckling, Chelsea puts a blanket over her ‘lightweight’ friend (Chloe’s fallen asleep on the couch – dreaming of confronting Adam at the cabin and confirming she conspired with Victor) Chloe? Chelsea frowns at her restless BFF.
The doctor doubts Patty would have been able to escape. Paul looks over the log-in book for someone who might have helped Patty escape (and thinks he found something)
