Chelsea meets Sharon and Sage at the club. She’s disinterested in their ideas, and wastes no time griping that Victor had Adam fired – he’s still controlling the universe from prison!

Adam marches into the office clapping (crediting Vikki with helping Victor get him fired) As Nick stands by, Vikki claims she did no such thing. The last thing she’d want is Adam running loose to barge into her office. She prefers her world Adam-free.

Dylan drops by Luca’s suite to ask why he visited Victor this morning. Why see Luca but reject his wife? We both care about Summer and Luca’s too much a gentleman to say whether they’re more than friends. He was just telling Victor that he’d look out for Summer. Yeah, Dylan’s sure Victor will sleep easier with Luca looking out for his granddaughter. In the hallway, he looks suspicious.

As Mariah takes pointed jabs at Natalie, Kevin drags her out to the patio for a chat. Mariah’s left to keep an eye on Natalie’s numerous shopping bags.

Mauling her stuffed cat, Patty knows she can’t go home with Paulie – silly! But you can get me back to Fairview. The food is gross and Patty can’t sneak out to visit other patients here. Dr Anderson’s no longer there to force her to take medication she doesn’t need. Paul then probes Patty on the night Dr A died. Patty was protecting the baby. What baby? he wonders.

Sharon knows Victor will always find a way to meddle and threaten anyone married to a Newman (or who has kids with a Newman) We don’t have to talk about Newman grandchildren, she cuts off Chelsea’s story about Connor. It’s OK, Sage gets it – she got a glimpse of it. Sharon lightens the tone by joking about marrying Victor during a bi-polar episode. If only ECT erased THAT from my brain! All that matters is family – you and Adam, you and Nick are solid – you’ll survive anything (Sage doesn’t look convinced)

If it wasn’t Vikki, who was it? Adam wonders. Luca Santori, Dylan walks in to answer. The warden called him after his visit. Dad thinks Adam’s the only one capable of running the company, Vikki knows. Adam won’t let Victor control his life – he’ll just get another job (and out he marches)

With a few more words of encouragement, Chelsea goes home to sketch some frocks. Spotting nurse Stevens walk in, Sharon remembers that she has a doctor’s appointment – can Sage go relieve the babysitter? No, Sage wouldn’t mind a bit – bye.

Vikki doesn’t think it a good sign that Victor asked for Luca’s help instead of his family’s. He’s working to oust Vikki but didn’t mention anything when she visited him last night. Dylan then relays Luca’s claim that he went to talk to Victor about Summer. He implied they’re more than friends. If anything’s going on between Summer and that scumbag, Nick WILL put a stop to it.

At CL’s, Summer tells Mariah not to bother – she already got an earful from Natalie. Mariah dislikes Swiss Miss even more than Summer. She doubts Kevin will talk Natalie into cutting her in – but Mariah needs him to try.

Natalie won’t cut Mariah in – she makes cocktails, not code. She’s had our backs – reconsider, for me, Kevin implores.

Give her a small slice, Kevin requests. Natalie knows Mariah begged or bullied Kevin into asking her. She just wants to insult people and cash a check. The world doesn’t work that way.

Inside, Summer’s given Mariah another perspective – think about it. She gets a call from Nick – come to Vikki’s office, it’s important. Think about what we talked about, Summer says in parting. Kevin and Natalie return. Nothing’s changed – Natalie’s sorry (not sorry) Mariah then takes Kevin to the patio – Summer has a logical question – why doesn’t Kevin cut you into his share of the profits? So this is me asking – why didn’t you cut me in Kevin?
