At Society’s bar, Phyllis asks Nick if that was Abby he just ended a call with. No, it was about New Hope. Here, have my beer. Please don’t go – I have time to kill. Your sister fired me. Nick’s sure Abby had a good reason and rescinds his request for more information. Why would you want your job back? TGP is my baby – I created it, Phyllis blathers on. Yes, Nick’s listening but it’s always the same – all about you – I’ve got my own stuff going on. Phyllis will listen – because she cares about Nick and has some time to kill.

Chance is back to ask how things went with Phyllis. I fired her – but yes, she fired back. She’s predictable. Chance has been thinking about the robberies – getting away clean three times without getting caught on camera – like they knew we were laying a trap. Do YOU have any idea who it could be?

Seated beside the fireplace, Abby suggests it could be a ring of professional jewel thieves. Chance doubts it – a seasoned crew would move to a new target. This could be an inside job. Abby suspects Phyllis. Maybe – maybe not, Chance is vague.

Adam and Chelsea come home to hear that Connor’s upstairs – and that he’s come up with a coping mechanism. It’s important for you to be together as a family, for normalcy, Sharon explains – being with the two of you is the best medicine – he doesn’t think he needs to see me anymore. After Sharon leaves, Connor comes down – so happy his parents are home. You’re gonna be even happier when you hear what we have planned for the rest of the day, Adam chirps.

Phyllis surprises Nick by agreeing with him – Adam’s definitely interfering in your relationship with Chelsea. It’s hard to watch the woman you love leave to spend time with her ex and their son. Maybe you’re better off without Chelsea.

Chance has a few theories on who might be behind these robberies. Abby’d love to hear all about it – and his adventures – over a drink. Chance would like that – he has some errands to run then will come back. Abby’s left smiling.

Adam and Chelsea’s big surprise is as much junk food as Connor can eat. Let loose and have fun today. And they’ve saved the best for last – a basketball jersey with his name on the back (to watch the game like a real superfan) I’m going to put it on now! Connor runs upstairs.

Nick doesn’t appreciate Phyllis putting all the blame on Chelsea – do you ever think that Adam’s manipulating you? Nope – Phyllis is nobody’s pawn and Chelsea’s made the choice to live with Adam – she could come home after Connor goes to bed. Yes, it IS that simple – you deserve better.

Chelsea and Adam are thrilled to see Connor so happy – and Sharon says he’s found a way to cope with his fears – maybe he’s turned a corner. Looks like spending time with us, and Sharon is helping. On the staircase, Connor’s muttering his spell – Sharon, Sharon go away – don’t come back another day. You can’t beat three. Mom and Dad and me.

Don’t go – Phyllis is sorry – no she’s not – yes she is – the fact is we’re both too good for Chelsea. She knows Nick really wanted things to be different this time but Chelsea’s just betraying you again. She’s a con artist – it’s her nature to be deceitful. Like Adam, Nick comments. Phyllis pauses a moment – poetic, that they’re together again, right? As a friend, she advises him to get out. Nick leaves without further word.

Bumping into each other in the hotel lobby, Abby and Chance both stoop over a pile of jewellery Abby’s dropped. I guess that drink will have to wait, he says. Abby looks busted.
