At the Abbot mansion, Abby find Jack second-guessing how he pitted Kyle against Theo (whom he fired) He’s done nothing but caused trouble, Abby reminds that he brought a girl to TGP opening who drugged everyone. Theo’s family – thank heaven you and I know nothing about stirring up trouble, Jack says pointedly.
I’m back in the game, Theo’s at Society recording of himself is ruined when a waitress enters the shot with a to-go order that he quickly notices is labeled ‘Chancellor Communications’. Getting an idea, he scrawls a note and puts it inside the brown paper bag.
At the office, Lily assures Billy that Amanda’s approved the contracts she’s about to send out. She sensed an uncomfortable vibe at their meeting yesterday. Was it a mistake to hire Amanda?
Phyllis carries a big box into her suite and gasps when she looks inside. Amanda knocks then barges in to open the box – what the hell? It’s a bone. The question is – whose?
Moments after Rey’s brought Sharon home from her surgery, Nick arrives with Faith, Mariah and Tessa. Did they get rid of all the cancer? Faith’s question makes all uncomfortable.
Telling Faith that she’ll need chemo and radiation, Sharon changes the subject to all the food they’ve brought. We ran into Nick and Phyllis at the pizza place, Tessa blurts out. We’re back together, Nick stuns Sharon.
These bones are fake – it’s been a long time since Phyllis did anything like digging up a body. You’ve dug up bones before? Amanda’s alarmed and full of questions. These dinosaur bones will save this hotel from extinction, Phyllis claims.
Billy tells Lily that Amanda was a good friend to him when his marriage derailed. Yes, he can work with her – he just needs to adjust. Now, let’s eat. He pulls out a note; a proposal from an Abbott family defector.
You and Phyllis are back together again? Sharon doesn’t know how to feel about this. Nick was waiting for the right time to tell her – I’ll take off. After asking Rey to take her upstairs, Tessa looks devastated at being the one to let the cat out of the bag.
Lily reads the list of names; influencers and bloggers they might want to work with. Does Theo have access to these people? Billy explains that Dina gave a baby up for adoption. Theo’s her grandson. Jack must have fired him from Jabot. He’s a threat – a former friend of Kyle who Billy doesn’t trust.
Theo’s still working on his video pitch when Billy calls to say he’s got 10 minutes to hear his pitch. I only need 5, Theo leaves Society in a hurry.
Nick’s at TGP to update Phyllis that Sharon knows they’re back together. Hearing the construction (Abby’s hotel) he can tell that Phyllis is up to something.
At Chancellor Communications, Theo’s introduced to Lily. Scowling, Billy hurries his pitch along. Glossing over his brief stint at Jabot, Theo knows how to reach their audience and can deliver every name on the list he sent. Billy heard from Traci that he was fired from Jabot so wants the truth.
Everyone else in the kitchen, Sharon has something to discuss with Mariah; her scars.
