At Newman Media, Victor tells Nick and Adam to leave it to him – he’ll minimize Vikki’s pain and deal with that bastard one on one. Who knows what else Ashland has up his sleeve.
In Vikki’s office, Nikki nags her about telling Victor that Ashland will be named co-CEO. He needs to know – now. When Ashland comes in, he reassures Nikki that his title change won’t diminish Vikki’s position. I don’t need Dad’s permission – Vikki’s telling him as a courtesy. Ashland’s pleased when Nikki offers to take a meeting for them – so that he and Vikki can go tell Victor together; as a united front.
After some flirting with Rey, Sharon admits that she’s waiting for Mariah and Tessa to come down. The wedding’s fast approaching, and if they don’t finalize their plans soon, she worries the wedding might not happen.
Ending a call with Abby, a shocked Mariah updates Tessa that Dom had a blood disease. Devon was a perfect match etc. Of course, Mariah’s happy that Dom will make a full recovery – but – why didn’t they tell me what was going on? I’m Dom’s Godmother, she pouts.
Nick’s demand for details on his Dad’s plan is interrupted when the phone rings. Hello sweetheart, I’m so glad you called, Victor answers.
Rey’s sure Mariah and Tessa’s wedding will come together – they were meant to be. He loves that Sharon’s so excited about making wedding plans yet respects that they may want something quirky and offbeat.
Abby didn’t tell her family either, Mariah admits that she’d have been worried about Dominic, so she was spared that. Tessa has something to distract Mariah – let’s take Noah’s advice and combine our top three wedding ideas.

About to head off to Newman Media, Ashland gets a text from Victor (we need to speak in private. Vikki can’t know) Something wrong? Nikki asks; lips pursed and arms folded.
There’s not much time left, son (Victor addresses Adam) Nick’s gone, he states the obvious. Will you support me?
Nothing’s wrong, just a ‘personnel problem’, Ashland tells Nikki (who noticed the expression on his face) An executive they had to let go wants a call, he tells Vikki to go on ahead – he’ll catch up. Ashland’s left alone to worry.
Back at CL’s, Rey and Sharon agree that nothing will surpass their wedding. And, on cue, here’s our best man. Distracted, Nick snaps – I don’t want to talk about it. After Rey discreetly steps out to the patio to check in with the station, Nick confides to Sharon that Ashland’s done something so despicable that it might destroy Vikki.
