Adam hopes Victor has his evidence ready. Mike’s sending the proof by courier, Victor then gets a call from one of his PI’s. Seems that Mike’s gone missing, as have the two doctors. That doesn’t sound good, they agree.

Ashland’s been trying to rationalize Victor’s behavior as a protective Father – maybe he doesn’t want anyone but Newman blood running the company. Or, maybe he’s threatened by me and will use this to try get rid of me. Newman is his legacy. Yes, but Locke is YOUR legacy, Vikki doesn’t believe Ashland would do something so heinous. She doesn’t think his nickname ‘Locke Ness monster’ funny at all. That man doesn’t exist anymore – because of you, he claims.

Phyllis suggests they go check into the hotel, get some food etc. She’s about to call for a car when Jack brings out more items from the box – and finally, a necklace Jack gave Luan (flashback to Christmas 1995; Jack’s been given the gift he always wanted; a son) He tells Phyllis that he sent the necklace to Keemo after Luan died. He didn’t erase me from his life, an emotional Jack hands Phyllis a photo of him and Luan’s wedding.

Chloe expresses how much she enjoyed working with Sally and is sorry she and Chelsea couldn’t work together. Sally’s sorry their collaboration didn’t last but is glad they both landed on their feet. Nope, Chelsea hasn’t given up on her dreams (she says as she spots Adam walking to Society’s entrance)

Keemo was angry but I eventually won him over. He was best man at my wedding to Luan. Encouraged to talk about it, Jack describes the wedding. Flashback to Luan, his ‘gentle angel’ in red. We were supposed to spend the rest of our lives together as a family, Jack looks depressed.

Things get a bit awkward when Chloe mentions Chelsea – and even more so when Adam asks Lauren if she’s heard from Mike. After Adam and Sally move on, Lauren frets about Mike’s whereabout. She calls Victor – if you hear from Mike have him call me.

Seated and having drinks, Adam tells Sally that he’s keeping her in the dark to protect her. This may not go the way Victor hopes.

Ashland claims that Vikki’s love has changed him profoundly. He’s a better man. Vikki knows you can’t change a person unless that person wants to change. You’ve made some bad choices, but so has my Father. He’s no saint, Ashland agrees. And when Vikki can’t believe her Father’s turned on them this way, he conceals a smirk that reads ‘I can’t believe she’s buying this BS)

Jack now finds a statement of paternity. It must have meant something to him, Phyllis opines. Jack plays ‘what if’; wishing he’d fought Keemo shutting him out of his life.

Phyllis wants to deal with the real reason they came here – to find out who sent the text messages. She wonders whether it was one of the people in the photo Jack now examines again.

Sally asks one question – will the fallout of Victor’s plan affect you? Not in a negative way – if Victor miscalculated, and this causes a rift between him and Vikki, the dynamics might change, it might work in Adam’s favour.

Victor calls Ashland to tell him that he has one hour before he takes everything to Vikki. Do it, I’m not going anywhere, is

Next week: there are a million logical reasons why Mike hasn’t been in touch – you know he can take care of himself. Lauren does – and that’s why she’s so worried…. You’ve spoken to Victor, Ashland correctly guesses. Tell me you haven’t been lying to me and the entire Newman family this whole time, Nate challenges…. Jack – this was not here last time, he tells Phyllis It’s a photo of a young girl. On the back is her name and a phone number.
