Still in Keemo’s empty house, Jack squints at the photo, only recognizing Mai, Keemo’s sister. Phyllis reminds, yet again, that she’s there to help.

Re-reading a text that ‘all three’ who spoke to Baldwin have been ‘taken care of’, Ashland joins Vikki in the office. What took you so long? Vikki wastes no time asking what Ashland wanted to tell her in private. It’s about my health, more specifically, my treatment, he begins.

Over wine at Society, Lauren gripes about Mike being incommunicado – this is why she wasn’t thrilled about him working for Victor again. Sending him a quick text, she’d like to distract herself with business – how are you and Chelsea coming along with the Sally-free fashion label?

Adam’s impressed with Sally’s ideas to expand the sports platform.

What am I supposed to make of all this? Jack’s frustrated. Phyllis thinks whatever he was to find is in this house.

When Victor stops by the office, Adam needs to speak to his Father in private. Of course, Sally knows that family always comes first with the Newmans. Adam will join her at Society when he’s done. Now alone, he assures Victor that he didn’t tell Sally that Ashland faked his illness. Victor ordered his son in law to get the hell out of town – or he’ll tell Vikki everything. Really? That’s how you’re protecting her? Adam seems unimpressed.

Ashland’s struggling with why Victor would do something like this. Something like what? He’s taking the word of a doctor who was fired from the clinic in Peru; who claims I paid to have my medical records falsified – that I never had cancer. Vikki’s understandably shocked.

My Father thinks you lied about being sick? Vikki thinks that insane. It gets worse? She can’t imagine how. Victor’s using this to try to force me out of your life. He doesn’t want Vikki to hear this from anyone but him. Why would my Father turn on you? Vikki wonders. Ashland doesn’t know – Victor was the one to stand by him. Maybe he believes this horrible doctor who has it out for me. Vikki’s seen Ashland’s medical records – you have cancer. My Father should have come to me with this – what’s he thinking???

Victor believes that Ashland used Vikki to merge his company with hers. She’ll be devastated – but Adam thinks Nick may be right; Vikki will forgive Ashland for this too. Victor must convince him to leave town (and Vikki) He’s used Vikki – the wedding was a ruse to engineer this merger – he won’t get away with it.

Chelsea’s wining and dining her old contact, powerful connections, Chloe’s explaining to Lauren when Sally arrives at Society to ask how the new line’s coming along. Chloe asks how her new job’s going – are you happy you traded sketchpads for spreadsheets? Sally’s found her niche – and she and Adam make a great team.

We must find the answers, Phyllis helps Jack go though the box of letters and photos. It feels wrong to him to be rifling through Keemo’s stuff. He’s gone, Phyllis is sorry to say – you aren’t violating his memory. This box wasn’t left here by accident. This is some sort of treasure hunt? Jack agonizes. Phyllis implores Jack to keep searching for the answers.

Chloe’s happy for Sally and after Lauren abruptly clip clops off to make a call, is glad for the opportunity to speak to Sally alone.
