Visiting the estate, Ashley’s surprised and concerned to hear that Chance is going back to work. Abby supports him 100% and hopes her Mom does too.
Pacing around nervously on a sunny rooftop restaurant in LA, Jack ends a quick chat with Phyllis then exchanges an awkward greeting with Ally (who almost didn’t come) Glad she did, he thinks it’ll do them both good to spend time together.
At CL’s, Sharon expresses concern about Noah partying late every night. He was hurt by that girl in London and now suppressing his feelings for Tessa; feelings that don’t just switch off. He’s just having fun with friends, Rey sees no reason to worry. A different female friend every night, Sharon continues to sound like a prudish Mother.
It takes Noah a few seconds to remember whose bed he’s waken up in. A note informs him that last night’s partner had to get to the club for her shift – don’t be a stranger. Crumpling and tossing the note, Noah looks lonely.
Looks like you got dressed in the dark, Rey teases Noah when he arrives at CL’s. Rebuttoning his shirt, Noah explains that he met up with a friend. One of the ladies I met? Sharon inquires. No, but don’t worry – I’m just enjoying my life. He’s not slacking off at work, Rey kisses Noah’s butt. Sharon wants to know the real reason Noah stopped by.
Once Chance explains that it was his therapists’ idea, Ashley does a 180; returning to work a ‘positive step forward’. While Mother-daughter go for a mani-pedi, Chance will have a talk with Rey (since the nanny will be there soon) At the front door, Ashley quickly updates Abby that Jack’s son died, and he has a granddaughter.
Now seated at the restaurant, Ally tells Jack that she sold the house to a nice woman – it’s not home without Dad. He’s impressed to hear she’s studying chemical engineering. Keemo worked with Ashley in Jabot’s lab. Ally quickly and forcefully informs that she’s not looking for a job, or anything else from Jack.
The real reason Noah came to CL’s is for the free ‘grub’. When he takes a plate of pastries to the patio, Mariah’s impressed that her brother knows his sisters’ favourites. And your soon to be sister in law’s, Tessa adds. Noah’s invited to join them – but be warned; the topic is wedding plans. Good, Noah has something to add.
Jack just wanted to explain that Keemo worked with his Aunt at the company Ally’s great grandfather founded. Embarrassed, Ally asks to start the conversation over – which Jack’s happy to do.
