Ashland now back at the office, Vikki’s sure they’ll be able to clear his name once they’re in Tuscany. Oh, my Father’s put Adam in charge while we’re away, she casually adds.

You’re going to be CEO! Sally’s excited. Interim CEO, Adam will need Sally to step up big time. As for Vikki, Dad didn’t give her any choice. She has a plan, though Adam has no clue what it is.

Elena’s setting the scene for a romantic evening at the penthouse; the outfit, champagne and flowers are all perfectly in place. The sofa cushions even have that karate-dent. The only thing missing is Nate. Hmmmm.

When Billy approaches Nate at CL’s, he wastes little time saying he’s no longer Ashland’s friend. What do you know about his medical condition? Billy asks. What do YOU know? Nate replies.

Billy explains that Vikki told him about Ashland’s lies re: his health. He guesses the evidence came from Nate (say no more) On cue, Billy gets/reads a text from Nick. Both wondering why Vikki’s going to Tuscany with Ashland, he thanks Nate and hurries out.

Back at the office, Sally’s about to leave for food when Chelsea calls Adam – wanna go to a Blackhawk game with Connor? (she has to go away on business) Adam has too much on his plate to go out of town overnight. Awww, Chelsea already told Connor. After the call, Sally agrees Adam did the right thing.

We’re co-CEO’s, why does Victor get a say? Ashland grumbles. Vikki thinks they should let Adam play king for a day. Billy bursts in – he needs to speak to Vikki – now.

Billy needs to talk to Vikki about the kids – now. Ashland reluctantly leaves with a quick kiss. So, are the kids OK? Yes, and Billy wants it to stay this way; Vikki must do the right thing.

Devon and Amanda have crossed the hall to deliver a housewarming gift. It must be date night. You’re not intruding, Elena’s quick to reassure.

At Society for food (where else) Sally’s surprised when Chelsea greets her. She’s sorry the hockey game didn’t pan out – Sally has nothing against Connor, or Chelsea. You must be very busy to choose work over your son. Adam did too, Chelsea points out (but otherwise doesn’t take the bait)

Ashland’s accosts Adam in his office – your Daddy’s appointed you pretend CEO. You won’t publish any stories about me, he’s sure – thanks to Victor. It’d reflect badly on you and the company. Plus, it would all be lies. Adam will make his own calls, as his Father empowered him to do.

Nate comes home to say he must have left their food in the car. Everything OK? Elena asks. Nate also asks Devon and Amanda to stay – let’s toast to our new apartment etc.

Billy needs to know that Vikki won’t forgive Ashland. I’m on your side. Tell me your plan – trust me. He’s worried. Vikki would never put her kids in jeopardy. Billy’s not worried about Vikki’s actions, he’s worried about Ashland’s.
