Running into Diane at the park, a very polite Traci hears that she’s hoping Kyle will bring Harrison again today. Traci’s sorry to disappoint Diane but Summer’s taken Harrison to a children’s musical.

At TGP, Phyllis and Summer do some bitchin’ about that lyin’ Diane. Hearing that her Mom and Jack are more than friends, Summer blinks – are you sleeping with my Father in law??

Back at the house, Kyle updates his Dad that Summer dropped Harrison and the nanny off to go visit her Mom. When his questions cut off with a ‘mind your own business’ Kyle takes it as confirmation that his Dad was with Phyllis the other night.

Newman’s CEOs explain that they’ll be in contact with their executive team while on vacation. There’s no need to bring Adam in, Vikki’s even clearer. Victor thinks it good for her to get out from under that dark cloud (which is the cue for that dark cloud wafting into Society.)

When Ashland comes over hoping for a word with Victor, Nikki wastes no time saying she and Vikki should go pack for their trip. How long will you be gone? Ashland asks. Vikki basically declares it no concern of his. Victor sees no need for Ashland to cast his dark shadow over this town.

Diane gushes about her son being a husband and Father – and you’d never know Harrison isn’t Summer’s biological son. Yes, he was close to his Mother but now has a deep bond with Summer, Traci adds. Diane doesn’t need to be reminded of what her absence did to Kyle – she lives with that pain every day.

Summer’s delighted that her Mom’s seeing Jack; he’s the best. We’re taking it slow, Phyllis adds that they haven’t told anyone. I’m a better person now, Phyllis doesn’t look so convinced as Summer hugs her.

Phyllis and I are testing the waters, Jack claims. Oh? Is that what the kids are calling it these days? Kyle teases his Dad. Not amused, Jack tells him not to read too much into it. Who knows where this is going.

Traci’s not comparing Diane’s actions to Tera’s – she’d never do that and knowing Diane has regrets would never ‘pile on’. Diane apologizes for jumping to conclusions. The constant hostility has her feeling defensive. In tears, Diane just wants to be part of Kyle’s life, the way she should have been all along.

Sensing that something’s off, Kyle wonders why his Dad is talking like his relationship with Phyllis won’t last. If there were to be a problem, what do you think it would be?

Summer tells her Mom that Diane was on her best behavior at the park. Ah, the sweet act, Phyllis suspects she’ll use Harrison as a bond between her and Jack. No, of course Phyllis doesn’t think Diane’s a threat to her relationship with Jack.
