Noah serves up a special concoction Sharon only makes for the cool kids. Seems both are listening to Billy’s podcast. Noah thinks his latest on ‘insecurity’ is relatable (a surprise to Ally) Both liked The Grinning Soul’s ‘Truth To Power’. When something bothers Noah, he does a little sketch. Watching him, Ally asks if something’s bothering him right now.

For what it’s worth, Ashland’s trying to make amends and is sorry for Sharon’s loss. Harshly rejected again, Ashland exits with his tail between his legs – as Diane walks in.

And that’s all you need to know about Ashland Locke, Noah’s impressed with her insightfulness. He comments on her losing her Dad recently. Sharon brings out treats ‘on the house’. Noah agrees that his Mom has a lot of love – and now, nowhere to put it.

With a disclaimer that she loves and respects her grandfather, Summer doesn’t want to escalate things by taking legal action against Ashland. It’s her and Kyle’s job to protect Harrison.

Diane’s chased Ashland to the park with a cold beverage. The ‘two pariahs’ are soon facing off against the picnic-ers. Jack butts heads with Ashland over access to Harrison – and Diane should rethink befriending him if she wants to show the town that she’s a new and improved ‘DD’.

Noah and Ally’s phones both go off – another episode of the Grinning Soul just dropped. Left to his sketching, Noah jokes that she’ll have to stick around to see if he’s as good as Da Vinci.

Victor worries that Ashland will talk them into shared custody but Summer’s confident that a judge would rule in their favour. She’ll make it happen.

Back at the park, Ashland finds it interesting that Diane didn’t flinch when he referred to Harrison as his son. She’s OK with him having two Dads. When Diane asks how Ashland made enemies, he warns her – ‘brace yourself’.

Back at the hotel, Phyllis complains about ‘DD’ – Jack enjoyed their picnic and lists all their blessings. Phyllis hopes Ashland Locke will be Diane’s undoing.

Now in the know, Diane won’t judge Ashland – she abandoned her son. We’re in a rare judgment-free zone. We’re both searching for redemption (and boring conversation) Ashland wants to stay and fight to see Harrison; he understands that Diane can’t plead his case to Kyle.

Kyle joins Summer at Society’s bar to hear that Victor wants them to take legal action to restrict Ashland’s access to Harrison. She’s in favour of ripping the bandaid off NOW.
