Ally can’t speak to what Diane did in her past but is grateful that she connected her with her family. Appreciating that, Diane understands why some people don’t want her in town, but being with her son and grandson makes it all worthwhile. Harrison! Time to go! she leaves Ally to frown at Noah.

Phyllis tells Jack that she extended an olive branch to ‘that woman’. Yeah, Summer had to drag you there, Jack scoffs. Phyllis did it for the greater good, and for us. There is no ‘us’, Jack regrets letting desire get in his way – we should have stayed friends. I’m still your friend, Phyllis can’t believe this is where their story ends.

Nick’s as shocked as Sharon that he’s thinking of going back to Newman. She was proud of him for breaking free; becoming his own man; working with Noah is icing on the cake – why would you consider going back? Hypothetically speaking, Nick could help his whole family. He’s been able to be neutral because he’s been gone so long. At this point in your life would you feel more satisfied going back to Newman? Or maintaining the distance that has served you SO well???

On the patio, Noah apologizes for getting worked up about Diane. Something about her set him off today – she caused my family a lot of pain. He has to wonder why Ally thinks Diane deserves a second chance without knowing what she did.

You think I’m insincere? Look in my eyes, Phyllis pleads. Yeah, but your behavior hasn’t changed – your history with men is a disaster. Maybe it’s not a pattern. It’s who you are. Jack looks disgusted by Phyllis – whoever you’re with, however long you’re with them; it’s never enough.

Hey, how did the appointment go? Mariah asks. Not as I expected, Tessa looks devastated.

The preliminary diagnosis is vocal cord nachos (that’s what it sounds like, pretty sure it’s not) Tessa’s terrified. Mariah talks her off the ledge – everything will be fine, she concludes with a hug.

Sharon thinks Nick will find the answer inside himself; you’ll do the right thing. I support you 100%. Nick gets a call from his Dad – he wants to see me and it can’t wait.

Noah can’t pretend that nothing happened (with Diane) Ally believes in forgiveness – if her Dad had forgiven Jack, think of how different her life would have been; and she wouldn’t have been alone at her Father’s bedside when he died.

Harrison! Stay where I can see you! I love watching you play. It’s all I’ve ever wanted, she smiles to herself – flashiing back to telling Ally how much she’d like to be part of the big, loving Abbott family. You’ll see. It’ll happen. Diane’s smile is pure evil.

Jack doesn’t understand why Phyllis couldn’t fully embrace happiness – it’s all about the chase, not about actually having it. Choking up, he slams out. Phyllis is left to drink wine alone.

Next Week; Jack looks astonished and Diane’s so excited she might pee her pants. Kyle and Summer offer her a job in Marchetti’s PR department …. Chelsea’s eyes flash brightly when Billy comments; I’d forgotten how well you used to know me …. The Baldwin’s are getting all hot and bothered in a suite at TGP. I’ve still got it, Mike gloats. Baby, you never lost it, Lauren purrs…. Victor tells Nick that whatever venture Vikki and Ashland are about to embark on will hit a brick wall.
